The quality is good and item looks nice

This holds 489 DVD's by laying one shelf group on their side due to height restriction. The quality is good and item looks nice. Very easy to assemble. Unfortunately, my DVD collection totals 667 and this item was not large enough. It would be helpful if the description would have included the number of items it would accommodate (i.e. CD/DVD/blue ray, etc.). My picture below also includes book ends on top with an additional 74 DVD's.
Solid and Well Made

I've been looking for something that I could use to store/organize my DVDs/Blu-rays/video games, and this does the job quite nicely. The product itself is high quality and sturdy; once it's assembled, you may be surprised by how heavy it actually is. Because I placed it on carpet I used the optional wall screw/zip tie securing feature, which is great if you have kids (as I do). As you can see in the picture, there's a lot of storage available, but I filled it up almost immediately. Basically, I underestimated how much media I have. If you have a lot of DVDs/etc., you may want to opt for something just a bit bigger.
Ok for the money

We spent the morning assembling this CD/DVD rack. It is constructed of particle board covered with thin plastic, so I'm not sure that it would survive a move. As did others, I upgraded the plastic lazy Susan bearing with a ball bearing one.
1000 lbs Capacity 12 Lazy Susan Bearing 5/16 Thick Turntable Bearings VXB Brand https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0045DV04I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_sDE1xb7KVSKEG

I drilled one hole through the foot board to match the large hole in the sheet metal of the lazy Susan bearing. That creates an access hole you use to drive screws through the top of the lazy Susan bearing into the rotating CD rack (the bottom of the lazy Susan bearing is secured to the top of the foot board first). I used eight 5/8" long pan head #10 SPAX screws to secure the bearing
Great! !

Easy to assemble, perfect for my Blu-ray collection, which now stands at 369. And that's counting the collections like Star Wars,Indiana Jones, etc as one, instead of individual disc inside the box, with plenty of room to spare. Since this was made for cds,it will leave space. I built it from the bottom up,so the leftover space is on the top. I use that space for my remotes,ps3/ps4 controllers.
Would have been nice to know a few things first.

While I do like these shelves, I REALLY would have liked to know that the individual shelves do not sit flush against the back panel. There is about a 1 inch gap between the shelf and the back panel. This is not a big deal if you're using it only for DVDs, but for my uses this poses an issue. Also, if it's designed to be mounted on the wall, the shelves should also be black on the underside. Instead, they are black on the top and front, but the underside is natural wood colored. It looks awful so I had to paint all the undersides of the shelves.

IF YOU BUY MORE THAN ONE: Another reviewer mentioned this but I didn't see it until it was too late, but if you buy multiple of these with the intention of placing them side by side, they do not sit exactly flush next to either other. At the bottom there is about a 1/8" lip on each side, but the top does not have that lip. So if you plan to hang these side by side on the wall, make sure you take your measurements from the BOTTOM and not the top.

The packaging was very good. I ordered 3 units and not a single piece was missing or damaged. My husband did opt to use his own wall screws instead of the ones provided. Otherwise we found the instructions fairly simple to follow. He's usually pretty picky about how sturdy things are but he feels comfortable with the wall supports included. I might still add some decorative brackets to the bottom just for extra security.
