The case is sturdy and loose enough to fit over the cello easily. The zippers on both sides make it easy to get the cello in and out, and it seems to have enough padding. I did not want a fancy hard case because my cello rarely leaves the house and is not going to travel with me, so this meets my needs very well. It's a big improvement over the canvas case I used as a student years ago, when I toted my cello on the subway and in rain and snow. I do not plan to use the backpack straps, but that's a nice feature to have.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this bag for my 8 y/o son as this is his first year playing the cello. This bag truly exceeded my expectation. It has just the right pockets for his items. The padding and straps makes it easy for him to carry on his back comfortably and it does a good job protecting his instrument.

It does what it's supposed to do. It seems to be well built and suited to the job of protecting the cello while being carried to and from school. There are cheaper options out there but I was also afraid that they were inferior products. We bought this to replace another brand of bag that the zipper failed.

If you're not going to be carting your cello over great distances through harsh conditions, this bag should do the job. It's well constructed, fits well, seems sturdy, and has all the right pockets. It's also inexpensive. So, if you travel lightly with your cello and don't need a fancy hard case, this should do the job admirably.
