This arbor is very beautiful for my garden entrance!! On besides of this blooming yellow rose, I planted another David Austin Crown Princess Margareta climber on the other side, I am expecting it will be more perfect looking next year. I will order another one for the other side entrance for my Eden climber just planted a month ago.

My front yard is fenced with vinyl 3 rail fencing and I bought this white arbor to put over one of the walk through gates. I love the look of vine covered arbors. When looking for the right one, it was important to me that it was sturdy to handle the winds and proportionate to the existing fence. I wanted it to look like it "belonged" if you know what I mean. I have to say, I am more than happy with this arbor. It is not a flimsy, low arbor and it goes perfectly with the fence. Assembly was not difficult, I only needed a cordless drill and a little time. It also comes with what is needed to install it in its location outside (minus the cement we used for extra security) I can't wait until the grapevine I planted grows over the top!

Update, November 6, 2015 - I have continued to enjoy walking under and looking at this arbor very much! It has held up to the weather extremely well with no change in color or brittleness from sun exposure. It has also been an excellent support for the grapevine. The grapevine is planted on one side of the arbor and the long vines are easily "threaded" through the rails on the top of the arbor as they grow longer. I have also used small amounts of twine to train the branches to grow in the right direction. I prune as needed to get the look I want through the spring and summer and in the winter I remove the vines from the arbor and start over. I am still very happy with this beautiful arbor, it is one of my favorite things in the garden.

This is an edit of my original "one star" review. The arbor arrived fast, and I know I'm going to love it once it's assembled and in place. My issue was trouble with assembly due to receiving several wrong parts.

Yesterday, I opened the box and spent close to 5 hours attempting to put the arbor together. Prior to beginning, I had watched a you tube video on assembly. It appeared to be quick and easy (maybe a 2 hour job).

During my attempted assembly, it became evident that Item #7 "Side Panel Horizontal Bent Rails (2)" did not fit. But.....I was not to be deterred. I was determined to get the Arbor assembled. I tried everything I could think of to make them fit. 5 hours later, I was frustrated, angry, and my arbor was still not assembled. There was no way those rails would fit without damaging the unit or trimming the rails.

It (finally) occurred to me the supplied bent rails were not meant for my arbor and there must have been a mix up at the factory when they packaged the components. I decided to try and assemble the arbor without the bent rails. I then found the right post top was damaged and the arch could not be fitted onto it. All progress stopped. I couldn't even call the supplier and explain my troubles because it was a Sunday afternoon. They weren't open till Monday. So, I went in the house and vented my frustrations via the review process.

This morning, I called New England Arbors at 1-800-282-9346 to explain what was wrong and ask for help. The CS representative was so helpful, reassuring, and kind.....a new post and correct replacement bent top rails will be sent to me (no charge) tomorrow. I will continue with my arbor assembly next weekend. Once the parts arrive, I'm sure I'll have the arbor assembled in 15 minutes.

Tip: Look over all your items very carefully, and check those side panel horizontal bent rails. Apparently my kit is not the only one that accidentally got the wrong horizontal bent rails. The CS representative said they can be trimmed (if perhaps you have a wedding and can't wait for new ones), or they will replace them.

All's well that ends well.

Great arbor. Beautiful. Made very well and was fairly easy to assemble. Instructions were clear and helpful. Would highly recommend.

I choose this Arbor for its more unique design, knowing it would probably not be as beefy as other designs.
It took a lot of work to put it together (2 persons with experience). We added additional screws to try to stabilize better. A bit wobbly. We used 2 x 4's up the legs and deep into the ground with concrete to install. It looks nice all decorated for the holidays in my frozen garden.
