Hmmmmm•May 1, 2016
Nice little art set.
Great for a beginner.

I purchased this product for my mother who wanted to give painting a try. This easel comes with all the extra equipment such as paint, and brushes. The easel is made of decent quality however it is a little smaller than expected. This is wonderful for a beginner or some one who needs a small travel size easel! Great little product!
Gift worthy for a young artist

Was a gift, however, I looked it over well and it was sturdy, had lots of supplies and was heavy. Appeared to be well worth the price. It was an anonymous gift so don't know what the receiver thought.
Great gift, well received!

Bought this as a gift for my Mom, and she loved it. My wife is an artist and helped me pick it out. She said the materials contained in the box were of surprisingly high quality for a bundled set. She also said the tabletop easel/case was a really good, functional design for someone who needs a small easel. Very satisfied with the purchase.
Great hopes, but disappointed

I was disappointed in this product although it might be my own fault for not realizing it's dimensions. This is much smaller in size than anticipated. If you are shopping for an adult or teenage artist, I think it's too small. On the flip side, if you're shopping for a child, the draw that houses the paints is difficult to open. It gets stuck often & feels rickety. I was going to donate this to toys for toys after realizing it wasn't the right size for an adult, but it doesn't seem user friendly for children. Unless parents are only going to use this as a stand, set it up & clean it up for your child, and also purchase more or larger paints (since the ones that come with it are very tiny), I wouldn't recommend. It's a nice idea, and it looks pretty in the photo, but it's small & not very functional, other than serving as a small stand. Which, for the price you could find a table top easel for less.
Size wise this stand does not hold a standard canvas but rather more of a standard sheet of paper size (8.5 x 11) The small paints contain good colors and what appears to be decent quality, but run out quickly. Just doing one painting I ran out of both blue & black before being able to finish what I needed it for.
