Great brushes for the price!

I ordered these as a starter set of paintbrushes so that I could try my hand at making my own wall art. I thought because they were so reasonably priced I was going to have to deal with poor craftsmanship and have bristles falling out, or the brush heads just falling off completely. I was very pleased when they arrived to see that they are very sturdy! The natural bristle brushes wash off very easily, the synthetic bristles not as well (they are white and my acrylic paint did stain them just a bit), but it isn't a problem at all. The case is great, too. The top folds down and there is a little velcro square in each side to keep it in place when you roll it up to protect the brushes. I was very pleased with them and have used them several times already.
blah

The canvas part was already falling apart so three paint brushes already fall out the bottom. Not worth sending back but won't be ordering again. Very poor quality. Shame because I've bought these in different brand for half the price and it was great.
LESS THAN ZERO

These brushes are horrible. The bristles are way too stiff, and leave obvious brush marks, as well as hair, behind. Of the 24-piece set, I found two usable ones. Up to this moment, I haven't been able to contact the Seller to ask for a refund ... nice coincidence. If it were a ratings option, I'd give this "less than zero."
Too "cheap"

This is the first set of paintbrushes that I bought for myself. I've used them... about 4 times now. Maybe I just haven't broken them in?

They feel cheap to me. The bristles are too hard and leave really unsatisfying streaks. I've used other paint brushes before. I recently took some paint classes that was actually what prompted me to want to buy a set of painting supplies for myself. These paint brushes do feel inferior to the paint brushes I used in the classes. A note to make is that the classes weren't extremely professional crafts classes. They were just social get togethers ("Paint nite"), so I think I can safely assume their paintbrushes weren't the terribly expensive kind either, yet they still had a better quality to them.

Oh well. Ending thought? I wouldn't suggest buying these. One cool thing is that they do give you 2 sets. I guess that's why it's so cheap. Maybe.
Tips hard? Here's the fix

I purchased this set for my daughters birthday. The set was nicely put together in a canvass roll. That's a big plus for me as it keeps the brushes organized. I feel the brushes are of decent quality and work really well for my 11 year old to paint her pictures. The set comes with 24 brushes, the bristols of the 6 flat white nylon brushes were stuck together. I know sometimes you run your fingers across them and they unstick. Well these did not, they were pretty stuck. I sent an e-mail to Art Advantage via their website and received a quick and timely response (3 hours according to email time stamps). Brogan explained that it was glue and I should be able to move the bristols around to get the glue off. I had to pick it off as opposed to just brushing the bristols as you would expect. With a little bit of force and a few lost bristols ( nothing to be concerned about) I was able to remove the glue and now have a complete set :). The set is worth the five stars for sure, but the customer service I received will bring me back as a future customer. I should also mention that Brogan offered to replace the set if I I could not get the glue off or was not satisfied after trying this. And the true finale stamp of approval is my daughter loves them. Thanks Art Advantage for putting out a great product and for STANDING behind it.
