Get the smallest size which includes your range of measurements

The tripod stand is so wobbly it requires a foot to hold it down when actually pinning on the form. I ended up ordering a size too large, but only realized that now, a year later. I'd recommend going with the smallest size and checking if the adjustable ranges can go up to your measurements. I really want to drape a corset but the waist and hips don't get small enough since I got a medium size, and the hips are, at their smallest placement, too big for me (the mistake I recently noticed by measuring 7 inches below waist on my body, then my form).
Maybe this wrong size is why the crotch seemed too low for underwear or pants I'd put on it.
The fabric covering is like a flannel and makes pulling clothes over it pretty tricky. Idk why they can't be muslin covered like a real form. Then of course the big gaps in the center and side seams can make actual draping techniques tricky when you need this center fronts and backs to start, but I recently read you can put craft foam in those gaps.
The neck was also too thick compared to mine.
Changed from 4 stars to 1 star, update changed back to 4 stars

I didn't end up returning this item. I bought a hose clamp to hold the offset pole in place and it works. I would recommend a hose clamp that ranges from 3/4" to 1 1/2 inches.,

I discovered the problem and tried to fix it. The plastic on the top adjustment for the offset pole broke. I have some glue that I will try to put the square nut back in place, but I'm not sure it will work.

The hose clamp did the job. Only wish I had bought one that was longer than 1 inch.
'
The dials are stiff, & the parts are plastic so do not try to force the adjustments.

I originally gave this 4 stars, but now it rates 1 star. I purchased this model based on price $99, the offset pole and its proportions fit lder women body types.

I changed the rating because the form wouldn't stay at the correct height; touching it lightly and the height would sink by a few inches. The screw that holds the offset pole was either stripped from the get go or I stripped it while tightening. I find it hard to believe that I was the culprit because I regularly need to fix equipment on my mini-farm and it's a royal pain when I get over zealous. I took the thing to the local hardware store to see if hose clamps could fix the issue. They didn't.

Save your money! I'm returning it. If it had tightened up I would be thrilled with it, but there is no point owning a dress form that will not maintain your height when you have no one to help mark hems. On top of that it still needs padding and a cover. Save your money!

My dress form arrived yesterday and I put it together today. I gave it 4 stars because the screw that holds the pole to the correct height will not get tight enough. I plan on getting a hose clamp so it won't slide. It was easy to adjust. I read the instructions and kept in mind some tips from another reviewer and started from the bottom. Measure your neck before you use that adjustment. The dial on mine sticks. DO NOT put the rubber feet on the stand legs until the legs are in (ask me how I know).
The adjustment wheels can get tight. If you work around the form in small increments the wheels didn't seem to jam up. The measurements on my form are spot on, so you can easily adjust to the measurements you need and pad where necessary.
The cover is a fur magnet, so if you have pets I recommend a slip cover for the form. You will need one to keep padding in place and I don't see how you can pin on this form without ruining the cover.

There is glue on the inside of my form that is tacky, another fur magnet so I will need to figure out how to cover it.
Take your measurements, duh!, before you order. My measurements are at the largest of a small and the smallest of the medium. It's easier to pad up. I purchased the medium because it was on sale for $99+ and free shipping. I also have my form from the '70's & if I ever lose weight, Brunella will get the job done.
The form sits level but the pole comes out of the stand when moving it around. The form is lightweight but I'm not sure how it would handle heavy formal dresses.
Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase. I couldn't buy this retail with a 50% coupon at the price I paid. If you're expecting professional quality, lower your expectations. This is built for the home use. It could last for starting a business until you can afford professional quality and it is adjustable.
I love it!

Like they said, you can't chip away to make it smaller so I got a small size that expanded to my measurements then added the padding kit, a medium, for those bumps and slumps we get as we get older. Became my double. And I am more objective to how things look on 'her' than I am on me:)

Not very useful. Awkward to adjust. Quality is disappointing.
Excellent for the price

For the price this form is exactly what I've been looking for. Because I have very limited space I like the fact that it is lightweight and can be easily moved. Although I've sewn for others for many years I purchased this to sew clothes for myself so as not to have to keep trying on the garment for fitting. I found the dial adjustments a little difficult until I first opened the neck wider. The problem of the bright blue color and gaps due to adjustments was fixed by purchasing the Fabulous Fit system which includes tight fitting covers to hide the gaps and color. This was a recommended purchase on Amazon but only in X - large so I purchased directly from their website. I do not have a "small" figure but the size range on the small form expands enough to include my size and with the padding system it turned out close to perfect.
