it looks really good and well made
Amazon Customer✓ Verified PurchaseMarch 14, 2018
Beware, it will take you decades to put this thing together. Make sure you buy the professional assembly. However, some companies won't even accept the job because it is TOO COMPLICATED. The techs I got to put it together spent the entire day putting this behemoth together. They normally only spend two hours on a job. Other than that, it looks really good and well made.
Decent table, but there are some downsides ...
Mack Leighty✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 26, 2017
Once we got all of the frustration out of the way, it's been a decent table. Not perfect, but if I wanted perfect, I would have paid five grand for a way better table. Overall, I feel like I got my money's worth, but there are some things you should be aware of:

1) It's likely not going to arrive in perfect condition. Mine had a few small dings on the black skirt, but fortunately they're in spots where you can't see them unless you're really looking for them.

2) The felt is cheap. If you have the means, get a more durable felt. The one it comes with is glue-on, so you won't be able to staple it like you do on a more professional table. Fortunately, we haven't had problems with it being loose or anything. The glue (spray-on adhesive) worked better than I thought it would. However, after one day of playing, we already have a few small pinholes appearing in random spots on the table, and we don't do masse or jump shots. It's just weak felt.

3) One of the pieces of slate arrived shattered. I knew when I ordered the table that this could be a possibility, so I wasn't taken by surprise. If this happens to you, the manufacturer quite literally says in the instructions that they inspect the products before they're shipped, so if there is damage to the table, don't call them. Call the shipper. The shipper will tell you to call the manufacturer. I called Amazon, itself.

The lady on the phone first offered me a 30% discount on the table, and wanted to call it even. Which means I would have still been paying $800 to $900 for a table I couldn't use. So I told her, "NOPE!" Then she wanted me to pack up the entire table and ship it back, and I again said, "NOPE! It's a 771 pound package that is 75% assembled already. I just need a piece of end slate." So here's the way they take care of that -- please remember this, because it will save you a ton of headache if it happens to you:

They will ship an entire new pool table to your house, but instead of unloading that whole thing, they'll just open the slate box, pick out the undamaged piece of slate that you need, and give that to you. Then they'll take your damaged slate back with them. They'll never take that new table off of the truck. And you won't have to pack up and return the table you already have. They're just giving you a new part and taking your bad part ... they just have to do it in a really weird way.

4) The accessories might as well not even be included. The rack is too tight, so you'll want to get a new one. It seriously lifts up the balls when you try to take it off of a fresh rack. The brush they give you is a tiny little nothing of a brush. Just buy a soft bristled hand-held one from Walmart or something. The sticks that come with the table are the absolute bottom of the barrel sticks. They're seriously what I would have expected if we ordered a child's novelty pool table. They're good for very small children, but that's it. For an adult, they are virtually unusable.

HOWEVER, there's a reason I'm giving it three stars instead of 1-2. Once I got it all put together -- and even considering the weaknesses -- this is a pretty good table for the price. It's level and fairly solid. It's easy to assemble. Any problems with the product itself was handled swiftly and very politely by Amazon.

If your intentions are to buy a family style pool table ... something you can put in the basement or garage and casually shoot pool with the kids ... then this is a great table.

If your intentions are to practice pool every day and become your own living version of Tom Cruise from "The Color Of Money," save up a couple grand more and buy a seriously better table. But if you're willing to shell out $3500 to five-digits on a brand new, professional pool table, I'm going to assume you're probably not going to get that through Amazon (or online at all).
Outstanding Billiard Table

I have had this pool table for over a year now. Totally forgot to write a review. I would recommend getting the table and assembling it yourself. It really is not hard at all as long as you follow instructions. It is just time consuming. It took me around three days by myself to complete. In actual cumulative hours, around 21. Very satisfied with how it turned out. I have used it for multiple parties and when having friends over. They are pretty impressed with it too. Just wish I had picked a better spot to build it at.
The table itself went together easily and looks great

The table itself went together easily and looks great. The directions were easy to follow. I am a mechanical engineer and work on cars and the house, so i found it easy to assemble. I learned a trick from a man at a pool supply house and bought a stick of wax and used that to fill the seams and screw holes. This is much easier than putting a ceramic epoxy and then sanding. It also allows you to easily disassemble it if ever needed to move. For the money, it is a great table and my family and I have had fun playing pool together. As far as shipping, the first one came in with a cracked leg and two chipped pieces of slate. The main problem is that the slate is heavy and it was packed on large pallet that bowed as it was picked up. This strained the strapping and put pressure on the parts and broke them. Amazon's customer service was great and took some money off for the inconvenience and had another one shipped. When that one came, one piece of slate was cracked but we were able to swap out the parts needed.
Better Than Expected

A lot of the reviews mentioned broken parts and the table being hard to install. I fortunately didn't find either of those things to be true. A friend and I put the entire table together in around 2 hours. Really the hardest part was taking everything into my basement. Putting the slate down was a little intimidating but fairly easy to level.

Overall I'm really happy with the table. I think it's the cheapest 8 foot slate pool table you can buy but it doesn't play like it.
