Durable, keeps my cast dry!

This is the Best thing I bought after my ankle surgery! Take showers or go for dips in the river! It's very sturdy plastic, but do protect it from snags. You just need to make sure that the rubber top doesn't get slid down any so it keeps a good seal. Like any rubber glove, with activity you sweat, even more so with a bag on your leg! But, it keeps my cast D.R.Y. from outside moisture. I love it!
Saved Bath time!

After my wild child broke his arm, I broke his heart by telling him that he couldn't stay and play his beloved Dinos vs Submarines in the bath. Even though I'd wrapped his little cast in about 673 layers of cling wrap, 3 trash bags, more cling wrap, and some Press n Seal (just for good measure, ya know) I was terrified that some water might still seep in and.... what? Make it smell? Degrade the cast? Enable the growth of a super-bacteria that would turn his arm into a necrotic cesspool requiring immediate amputation? I don't know, I just know the doc said not to get it wet.
So anyways, fast forward to me coming across this little gem. AH-mazing. The material is a thick vinyl- think of a super thick shower curtain. The top Has a tight, wide band that's super stretchy. It was small enough to stay tight on his arm, and I have no doubt it would fit mine if I needed it, too.
This sucker survived 6 weeks of baths with my 5y/o and still looks brand new. Unless you take a knife to it or toss it in the blender or something, no water is getting through.

This was an excellent buy. I currenty have a broken ankle. I was in a splint for 3 weeks and now I'm in a cast up to my knee. Ive been using this for the past week and have had no issues with water getting in or moisture. It is a little tough for me to get on since my ankle is very bulky with padding right now but worth the extra effort to get a shower and not have to worry about the cast getting wet. There is a little extra slack because I don't pull it up my entire leg but it's not a big deal.
Great for showers

My kid only wore a cast for 3 weeks but this cast cover worked great for showering while seated on a stool; I would say that if your kid is over 10 or chubby, you might need the adult version. Hopefully we'll never need a cast cover again but to be honest, I woould happily pay for this item twice over before I tape another bag onto a casted arm or leg (did that for 6 weeks years ago, never again!). Do not try to use this for swimming or submersion in a tub, it's not designed for that!
Good for baths not for pools

My 3 1/2 year old son broke his elbow a week before a poolside vacation. Since he had a full arm cast we knew it would be rough doing water activities so we gave this product a shot. For a toddler, it was extremely large (not good not bad) just really big, we used it for a week to give him baths and the product worked great, not an ounce of water got inside. We decided to try it in the pool once we arrived for our vacation. I read reviews to glad wrap it first. So we bought the leakproof glad wrap and covered his cast several times. We then put on his waterproof cast sleeve and gave it a shot. Once he hit the water and got it slightly submerged it had water pooling inside it. To say the least, I sat for an hour with a hair dryer on my arms son after our pool experiment. In my experience, this product was great for light water exposure but not designed for use in pools. Overall, the product is decent. I expected more out of it based on the description and reviews but it still worked good for bath time so it wasn't a complete bust.
