I have a broken ankle and am in a hard cast. I tried to do the trash bag thing with NO success! I wasn't sure about this one but frankly it worked great. You just pull the ring on over the cast and your done. The hold in the material is stretchy and big enough to fit over my leg. I only needed to go up mid calf but it is large enough that I could go over my knee if needed. Plenty of room and easy to put on, taking it off was a tiny bit of a challenge at my heel but totally worth it. BTW I'm 5'5" in height and not exactly a petite person.
No leakage over 30+ uses.

I hate giving this product 5 stars, because having my ankle be shattered was definitely a 0 star experience. However, this made bathing SO MUCH easier when I got it. Those "tape a garbage bag over it" methods and what not were a pain, not efficient, and leaked a bit more than I wanted for a brand new cast that had to be on for months. This leaked not at all. 0 leakage and I bathe every day, so it definitely got stretched over and over and over again. Would buy it again....if I had to...

I don't review often, but this is a great product! I have a bandage on my foot, and need to keep it dry. I tried a cast saver I had from the local drug store, and my foot got totally soaked. I had to go and get it re-bandaged, then I ordered this product. I can stand in the shower and have the water running on it and NO LEAKS!! This is great for what I'm using it for. It is very tight around my admittedly chunky leg, but that's why it works so well. Not sure how well it would fit over a cast. So glad it does what it says it will do!! :)

This really did a good job of keeping the water out, but the silicone ring ripped all the way to the ring the first time it was used. Asking for an exchange, will update my review if and when I get the new one.
Update: got an exchange very quickly and the new one has been working very well. Just be very careful, the silicone ring is vulnerable to ripping and the edge of a cast.

Had recent foot surgery requiring bandages and a boot. This cast cover is legit. I have used it in the shower three times now (over bandages; will not fit over boot). This cover keeps my bandages completely dry. Would easily fit over cast below the knee. Cover material seems durable, but with no weight bearing on that foot, I have put very little pressure on it. I would definitely use this cover in my bath tub (leg rested on the side of the tub). A very good purchase!
