Box arrived damaged... product is broken... amazon refunded me 50% after talking to them for an hour on the phone... manufacturer sent me the pieces i needed and now it is great. My bunny however is either slow to realize he can go down to the bottom layer or too scared to attempt the ramp... so i either have to move him down or he will stay on the top even with the ramp available and open.
Alright, but needs modifications

The design of this hutch is missing one major feature that would have been a deal-breaker for us had we realized it prior to assembly of the hutch. There is not a grate/open "floor" area for the rabbits to sit on to hold them above and out of their urine and feces. If you don't modify the hutch, the rabbits would be left to hop around and lie down in their own bodily excrements. We didn't realize this until we had the hutch nearly completely assembled, and we did not want to take it apart and try to ship it back, so we modified the design by purchasing and installing a metal mesh screen just above the trays.
In addition, the latches to hold the doors shut just barely cover the edges of the doors, and look as though they could easily be bumped open, allowing the rabbits to escape. We also modified this problem by adding small latch hooks.
We ended up having to return the first hutch we ordered because it arrived completely broken. The box was in good condition, but when we opened it, the wood was all broken. We were able to easily exchange the broken hutch through Amazon's return policy. The second hutch came in great condition, with the exceptions of the design flaws mentioned above.
After our modifications, we are very pleased with this hutch, but if you aren't up for making modifications, you might want to choose another hutch.
We are very happy with this hutch

We are very happy with this hutch! I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this hutch that said the box and product arrived damaged or that it was flimsy and parts broke while putting it together. We had a completely different experience. The hutch arrived in perfect condition, was easy to put together and nothing was damaged in the process. We use our hutch inside and our two bunnies have tons of room. My personal preference would be to have the hutch come painted/stained white, but the natural pine is still a really nice look for indoors and the pine smell is very pleasant. The features that I like the most about this hutch is that it sits up off of the floor, has removable trays for easy cleanup, has ample room for bunnies to move around, and easy access to our bunnies. If you are looking to purchase an indoor hutch, I highly recommend this one.
Good Product Some Improvements Needed

Like you, I have rabbits that we keep inside our home and I was looking for a better place to keep them instead of a wire bottom cage. Every hutch you look at will have good and bad reviews so don't be discouraged and just look for one that has the features you are looking for. I am a mechanic by trade and own many tools but I also understand the importance of reading directions.

Packaging

The Item will arrive in two boxes. One is much heavier then the other. I opened the boxes one at a time and laid everything out. I noticed quickly that the internal packaging left a lot to be desired. Two issues here. The Styrofoam will get everywhere! It looks like they packaged it quickly after treating the wood as some areas the foam stuck to the wood and left noticeable residue behind. A little elbow grease and it should come off. The other problem was that they don't do a good job protecting the front corners of the drawers. The sides are a very thin veneer and will break easily. These sides are up against the sides of the box and if the box is handled rough they will take an impact. I would suggest that they do a better job protecting these edges with wrap around foam.

As I mentioned earlier, The item seems like it was packaged shortly after it was coated. This is evident because of the odor emanating from the boards. I expect this coating to outgas as it continues to dry but this could possibly be mitigated if the manufacture expanded the dry time prior to shipping but understand all new items will always have a smell of chemicals when you unbox them. Mine was relatively odor free after a few hours just keep some windows open or assemble outside if your concerned.

Assembly

After I opened the boxes and laid everything out I opened the bag with the directions and screws. I was a little concerned because the paper that came as directions was a single sheet. I looked around for some other type of directions and nothing. The sheet is multi language and at first I didn't see the English. The directions are HORRIBLE. The images are so small that it is very difficult to understand what goes where. I should have made a video on how to build this because most people will need that. I would have saved some time if I had a video or had some better directions. The company has some real improvement opportunities in the area of directions. Keep one of the boxes handy because the picture will help you assemble.
Once you understand how the layout will work I would suggest drilling pilot holes for every screw you install. I have read many reviews of cracking wood. Whenever you are dealing with wood it is always a good idea to drill pilot holes before you screw them together. This is especially important with soft woods as they are prone to cracking. Its a quick step that is worth the time. For the most part once you figure out what goes where its relatively easy. The one tip I have here is when installing the back panel make sure you line up the top of the back to the top of the sides and match the contour of the angled sides. Install both drawers and line up the top rear panel as described before drilling pilot holes to ensure that your trays line up well and slide ok. This is a must. FYI the hinges for the top seemed to be miss labeled on my kit but look closely at the back panel inside and you will see the two tiny dimples where the screws should go.

Quality

Overall I am pretty happy with how it turned out. The doors sag but I expect that. The top panels that lay in the top are warped and the wood is soft. Understand a few things here. If this hutch was made of hard wood like oak it would be amazing but it would be MUCH more expensive and very heavy. Expect at this price point that this is a soft wood. This is not a problem but don't expect this to last 20 years. 5 to 7 tops much less if outside. If you are going to use this outside I would recommend that you coat all of the wood in a clear varnish prior to assembly. This will increase the life of the product in the weather.

Recommendation

I would purchase this again. I hope that the manufacture does a better job of packaging in the future to prevent the damage to the drawers and they need to do something with the directions ASAP. 3/5 stars is where I am at with this.
I really wanted to like this hutch.

I really wanted to love this hutch. It lasted just over two months before we had to replace it.

The bunny ate the door trim to the point the metal wire grate was no longer attached.

The doors on each level share one latch that is far too easy to misalign allowing the bunny to jiggle open while gnawing (she had LOTS of other chewing options provided in there) and escape.

It's a beautiful hutch and I really, really wanted to like it. Now we opted for a 2 story bunny villa from KW Cages. It's all metal, so there'll be no bunny destruction this time, and I can add a third or fourth level if I were so inclined.

I really wanted to like this hutch despite questionable reviews...

Now I have to figure out what to do with it.
