Thermometer doesn't work, and it is difficult to unscrew the telescoping sections. Better to spend a bit more $ and get a better quality product if you want to use this for serious hiking.
Makes for a great GoPro stick!

Converted this into a GoPro telescopic pole mount. Works great, light, extends easily and has a comfortable grip. Can't comment on how it does as a walking stick, but given how many people are building GoPro sticks I'm not sure who the primary buyer for this item is?

I have purchased several of these hiking poles because they have proven to be invaluable to assist me in terms of balance and waking, mobility factors that have been adversely affected over the years because of the multiple sclerosis that has been challenging me since the late 70's. The hiking pole helps me maintain a straight back posture while keeping my spine and vertebrae straight and aligned. I have also purchased several for friends and colleagues challenged with other physical limitations.
The one recommendation I would make is that the black tips of the poled should be made of a more durable substance that involves a thicker, more cushioned rubber. Although new tips can be purchased, the current tips wear out too quickly.
Thank you,

SO SO. You can do better than this one.

Pretty impossible to collapse once it is locked in the first time. Other than that it is OK. I hate stuff that doesn't work as advertised.
