Perfect warm weather hat

I love this hat so much I'll buy at least one more. I used this to make a cute message hat for our Christmas vacation and got so many compliments. It's cute, it fits well and securely, and it blocks the sun. It also doesn't flop in your face like some beach hats. With the strap fastened I didn't even have to worry about it while boating or in high wind. I packed it carefully in my suitcase on the way home and the brim held up great. The crown became a little misshapen but it's not noticeable while wearing.
I wear a size 7 1/4 in Tilley hats and this fit me perfectly. I'm really looking forward to getting another one when the weather is warm again.

Love it! I don’t wear big hats well

Love it! I don't wear big hats well, but I'm more concerned with how to travel with them and amount of sun coverage. This hat was delivered in legit box that wasn't smashed upon arrival, and traveled well as I carried it on the plane with me. I'm a fair skinned ginger, I burn easily, so I needed something that had full coverage!! I'd buy this time and time again, especially for the price!
Everything I wanted

I am very happy with this hat. It is great at blocking sun, is comfortable, stays on snug without feeling tight, and it's cute! Couldn't ask for more. Side note: I don't think it's meant to get wet but I have taken it on a few river and lake trips where I've gotten it completely wet and it's been perfectly fine.
Great Quality, Not-so-Great Color and Fit

I would give this hat a 4 or a 5-star rating for quality and a 2-star for working for me. First, the "light brown" color is a lot more yellow than it appears in the pictures. If it had more of a linen look as shown, I think it would work, but the warm yellow tone is not flattering to my skin tone. Second, though I can pull it down onto my head, the fit is snug. Before I get red marks on my skin and major hat hair, it's going back to Amazon. I think it would fit a woman with a small to average sized head perfectly, but for my large noggin it's a no. On to looking at men's hats and hoping for better results.
Not suitable for windy days

I live in Phoenix and the sun is brutal from April until October (if it sounds miserable, it is--we are definitely moving!). I do a lot of outdoor activities and I need to protect my scalp, ears, face, décolletage, and neck. A lot of hats only protect your face, which is probably why so many people have deep wrinkles on their chest. Anyway, I had five criteria for a hat: it needed to have a wide brim; repel at least 95% of UV rays; fit comfortably on my head; have a chin strap so it would stay on; look cute. This hat met all those criteria. I was thrilled when it arrived--really good quality with a nice cushion/sweat band in the head area, to encourage a snug, but not tight, fit. The diameter of the head opening is 7" to 7.5" (it's somewhat stretchy). However, the first day I wore it, I was completely dismayed. Every time the wind blew even a little bit, the brim of the hat would fly up and leave my face exposed to the sun. The really frustrating part was that the hat wouldn't fall back down to its original position by itself. So each time, I had to turn the brim down. Imagine doing that six times in 45 minutes--it drove me nuts! I've decided to return the hat even though it's good quality, cute, and comfortable; the material is just too light to stand up to wind. There's no point in keeping a hat if I can't wear it on a windy day or while I ride my bike. The search for the perfect hat continues. *sigh*
