Beauty with function!

I'm impressed! It's very attractive in person, easy to put together and only a slight hummm with the occasional tinkle of water flowing.
I have a feral cat who was injured and I trapped him and took him to a vet to get treated and neutered. I've been taming and rehabilitating him in my shed. He really has a sweet setup for a cat that was sleeping in the bushes for who knows how long!
Anyway, back to the water fountain...
I like that it has a section of water that is mostly still so that he can adjust to it easier then other fountains.
I've had a few water fountains for my indoor cats and this one is my favorite. I wish it came in a larger size so I can get it for them! Maybe it does... I'll have to look.

TOO NOISY

I ordered this for my 2 cats. The pump makes a humming noise so loud, it can be heard throughout the house and neither cat wants anything to do with it. I returned and replaced the first one but the second one is even louder. AWFUL!!!!
UPDATE: I changed the filter out again. This time, I soaked the new filter in warm water for a while then tapped out as much of the loose charcoal as I could before installing it in the fountain. I put a white towel in the sink and tapped the filter on the towel until no more charcoal came out. I kept rinsing the filter under warm, running water periodically, too. That seemed to work. The fountain is not as noisy but I must keep the water level at the very top. One cat will now drink from it. The other will have nothing to do with it.

No more 2am waterings!

It's a miracle! For years my Siamese cat, Thaddeus would only drink from a dripping faucet. 2am "waterings" was a common thing. He would pull on the plunger in the sink and make this annoying noise, until I would get up to turn the water on. Tough love doesn't work in this case. I have taken him to the emergency vet too many times for UTI. I have bought many watering bowls, ones that drip, ripple... you name it. So of course when I bought this one, I didn't have high hopes. Set up took maybe 5 minutes, turned it on and waited. The first day both of my kitties didn't like it, then this morning (second day) the miracle happened. Thaddeus was drinking from the bowl. Over and over again, he returned and would drink. He uses both sides, the bowl part and from the stream side. This makes me so happy knowing I get to sleep and not need to go to the ER vet. Don't stop the search and give this one a try.
Again, set up super easy. I can see that it will be easy to clean. And is very quiet. Worth the money.
Video is Igil. Photo is Thaddeus.

I love this dish! So easy to clean and put back together! You can put it through the dish washer! My cat is seriously cautious. 😽 I left her old bowl out, caught her drinking yesterday. I highly recommend watching the video which explains how to put it together and clean it.
Update February 2017. My cat now loves her bowl. I recommend putting it through the dish washer once a month. I have now washed it several times and it is so easy. I also "wash" the pump. Take a bowl large enough to submerge the pump. After submerging, plug it in! I then run the water so the it overflows the bowl and continue for several minutes. This rinses the inside. Be sure to check the intake screen and get any stuff off. I use a q-tip or a super soft toothbrush. The only problem I have with this whole process is my cat. She has other water but is now unhappy when her special fountain is missing!
Update One year! This is a wonderful bowl. I run it through the dishwasher the first of the month and change the filter. It does need to be wash that often. I change the filter at the same time. The pump tends to collect stuff, so be sure to take the time to clean it. I bought and extra pump in case this one wears out (no problems just being cautious.).

Good bowl, but exposed wire/pump issues over time

Both cats liked the bowl and drank out of the fountain part as well as around the top edges of the bowl. Cleaning the unit is simple; it's easy to take apart and clean the housing and the motor itself, which we did on a monthly basis. But the two stars comes from the way the wire is wrapped up inside the housing; it puts a hard 90 deg bend in the wire directly at the motor housing. This leads to the wire insulation eventually breaking and exposing the wire itself. While we should've caught this wire damage well before it got this bad, the wire shouldn't be in such a bind as to cause the damage in the first place. We have two bowls we switch out monthly, and both motors have exposed wires after 2 years or use. Our cats enjoy the bowls so we'll replace the pumps (and schedule yearly replacement), anyone purchasing just needs to be aware that this could happen and be sure to inspect the motor and wire during cleaning.
