Just what I needed

I found this bracket perfect for mounting my weather station wind gauge on a 45 ft mast I use for HAM and cell antenna in the mountains . I bought 2 thinking I would need 2 to make wind gauge sturdy on mast. Much to my surprise 1 was more than strong enough for this application. And it holds wind gauge very firmly ! A good solid bracket ! Leaving me 1 left over for future use.

I have used this 2 times now since I moved. On my old house I unbolted my old Direct TV dish and used this to mount an extension pole to the existing mount to put my OTA antenna on. This easily will adjust to any size post(the Direct TV one is large so finding one that would work took some time). I took my rig to my new house. Installed a J mount to the roof then added the extender to it. Works great. A little pricey imo but I couldn't find anything like it locally so it was worth it.

Be aware of the fact that you need two of these clamps to stabilize and antenna mounted to an existing pole such as a Satellite dish mount. One clamp is not stable enough to mount a 5 foot pole with a TV antenna atop it. The picture shows one side of the clamp attached to a 2+ inch OD pole and the other mounted to a standard TV mast pole. This leads you to believe that the clamp has two different size jaws; one for a 2+ OD pole and one for a standard size TV mast pole/ This is not the case. Both sets of jaws are the same size. This was not a problem when I used the clamps. The clamps have risen in price since I made my purchase. They are now close to $25.00 per clamp. Keep in mind that you need two clamps to safely install an antenna. I consider this to be a very expensive price for the clamps. When I stopped using a TV antenna in the early 1980's I could only get 4 stations. after 25 years of price gouging by the cable company and the satellite dish company I decided to cut the cable. I purchased a $45.00 antenna and a $15.00 pole and used the cable left behind by the satellite dish TV company. After climbing up on the roof and installing the antenna to the roof mount left behind by the satellite dish TV company, I did an Auto Scan on my flat screen tv to see which channels were available. Much to my surprise I got about 60 broadcast channels. This is about half of the usable satellite dish tv company's usable channels. There is a shopping channel, a movie channel and several retro (Father Knows Best, Leave it to Beaver, Lassie, Etc.) and of course all the network channels. I do live in a densely populated section of central North Carolina. OK, here is the bottom line. The brackets are too expensive. But, considering the money I am saving by cutting the cable ($175.00 per month) The brackets and the Antenna and Pole are a very good investment. This investment in hardware will be more than pay for itself the first month of use. If you want more movie channels, spend a few more dollars for Prime Instant Video and a Fire Streaming TV Stick, available on Amazon at a really cheap price. You will still come out way ahead. Cable and Satellite TV were both reasonable when they first came out. The cost for both services have soared in the last 20 years. Over the air, broadcast TV has a lot to offer now days, especially if combined with Prime Video streaming movies. I bought a Roku box long before Amazon came out with their Fire TV Stick. I have not tried out the Fire TV Stick, but I understand that it is a better device than it's competitors. Cut the cable, you won't regret it. I am deducting one star for the extremely high price of these clamps. There are other online retailers who sell this same clamp for 1/3 the price.
GREAT PRODUCT!

Although it's a bit on the pricey side, this clamp worked wonderfully for my application. I have a detached carport that I wanted to attach a weather station pole to. The carport's supporting structure uses square tubing that measures 2 1/8" square. As you can see the threaded rods bent just a tad to get clearance around these square supports, but I was able to attached both teeth clamps and get plenty of bite on the carport upright. Then I bought a 6' section of black chain link fence tubing from Lowes ($14) that was 1 3/4" wide. This fit beautifully in the other side of the clamp and tightened without any issues. Once everything was plumb, I tightened it down and it's very secure. Nice clean install. Very happy.
