We rent a vacation home for 3 months in the winter. I am never happy with the lighting in the bathrooms. The folding mirror is great. It folds up, so it can be packed in a suitcase, and plenty of light to work with. I recommend this mirror for anyone, who travels, but wants all the comforts of the lights you have at home.

Just received this and it appears as if it will serve my purposes for an upcoming trip. If it matters to anyone, while the lighting is sufficient, I was expecting a 'white light' because it is LED, but this light has more of a 'warm' tone. I think it will be fine, as when looking at other products, I came across reviews referring to glare (from the bright white light) in their eyes, making it hard to actually see. With this mirror, I don't think that will be an issue. Please note, as others have stated it does not come with the power adapter but there is an order sheet from the manufacturer inside the box. I prefer the mobility options that batteries provide away from home, rather than being tied to a cord. A recent reviewer recommended this Caseling Portable Hard Carrying Travel Storage Case for External USB, DVD, CD, Blu-ray Rewriter / Writer and Optical Drives - Black as a great fitting case for this mirror, and she was right. I ordered it at the same time as the mirror and it fits perfectly.

ok, light is useless , does not shine on face just around edge, also the 15 x is good and strong but must hold very close or distorted, leaving not enough room to use two hands for eye liner and shadow,, just plucking is ok..by window or lamp.. also lights reflect a bright circle in eyes very distracting... but the mirror is great quality, just lights bad,,

I purchased the 12x mirror; and I am extremely disappointed with it. I recommend that you do not waste the money unless you want something just for traveling (although a bit bulky for that). The mirror does have distortion; it is too small of a viewing area to be useful and the lighting is weird. Save your money and go buy a good vanity magnifying mirror. All this to say, I don't blame Amazon, it is the product.
