The ad said that they were men's watches, but the order stated that they were women's watches. The package does say women's watch I ordered them for my use. I'm a man and I have no problem wearing the watch. True, it is white, but it is not especially petite. I have had smaller men's watches. I have an existing Sportline men's heart rate monitor and I got these because I always find that the chest straps fail before the watches. I was hoping that the chest straps would be interchangeable, but they are not. Too bad because I prefer the design of the chest strap in these. Access to the battery is on the outside (front) not the inside, where it gets wet. Both the straps from my old Sportline and this one work with my NordicTrack elliptical trainer.
I think these things have been sitting in a warehouse for a while. I bought two and only one of the watches worked out of the box. Both of the chest straps were OK. I had to replace the battery in one watch. It was totally dead. Not a big deal, but you need a tiny cross-tip screwdriver and a 2032 button battery. I managed to do it myself, but a jewelry store could do it quickly for $15 or so. Or do it yourself for a $1 battery. It has a feature that you can shut the watch display off until you need it. Seems like a worthwhile thing to do.
For the money, these are a very good deal. So I ordered 2 more. And some more button batteries. Recommended.

As a fitness professional when my girlfriend asked for a HR monitor so she could train for a marathon it was like hearing angels sing. We did an extensive search at local stores and on the web to examine both functionality and of course colors (her criteria not mine). After looking at all the brands and many models we went with this one. It was easy to use, had most of the features (I wanted her to have, no GPS here) and fit her small wrist very well. All at a good price point.

So far, so good with this monitor. The features, size and performance are respectable. I have a 1060 Men's version and had a problem with leakage while swimming. Unfortunately that was the death of that watch but Sportline did an awesome job with the warranty - replacement w/ new, no questions asked, delivery within a couple of days. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this unit at this stage of the game.

Only two minor gripes with this product at this point:
1. It's white. Sweat, dirt, and whatever else shows over time. Needs to be cleaned periodically or it starts looking pretty ugly.
2. Takes a while to get the controls worked out. So many features in so small of a package, means it's push this button x times to do this or that, but x is a big number. Or it's hold this button while pushing this other button or whatever. It's not really a problem with the product itself, more the concept of putting so much into such a small package. Just be prepared to spend some time learning to use the unit if you want to take advantage of the features while you're busy working out without losing focus to mess with your monitor. My wife is getting comfortable with it, but it has taken a few workouts to get the routine down.

I'm really pleased with my heart monitor!! It's feminine, which is whatt I wanted! I love that I don't always have to wear the strap!
