They work well for desert downpours. Took 3 weeks to get delivered. We bought several barrels, because of the price. We could adapt to the height of the downpour pipes with aluminum dryer hose. The brass spigots are excellent heavy duty quality and fir a garden hose well. I would definitely buy another rain barrel

I wish the top could be removed to look inside and check water level. Instead you need to unscrew (4 screws) the filter cover. Luckily I don't do that very often. The size and color is a perfect. I raised the barrel four inches to get a good flow when the 40 gallons is achieved. There is an overflow vent at the top.
