Hangs well and stands well. I originally added a mix that contained millet. The pieces were small enough to get stuck around the edges, under the wooden center support bar, and at the open edge where it's meant to allow easy dumping. Definitely consider only using a larger feed mix and avoid tiny millet in this.

I have tried numerous tray feeders and this one is superb. Seeds do not spill out, the large size of the tray allows many birds to feed at once, and the quality is excellent, well made and sturdy. The slide out tray is the best design for cleaning. Expensive but worth every dollar!

This feeder is solid! It only took 22 hours before I saw my first blue jay and cardinal. I hung it in front of my bedroom window and it's so calming and fun to watch the birds chow down!

Even though the suspension cable appeared to be a bit on the short side, this does not seem to bother the birds one bit. Doves, blue jays and sparrows love the feeder. It is plenty large enough to allow 4-6 doves to feed at one time, and holds a goodly amount of seed.
It is easy to slide the screen out for periodic cleaning and disinfecting. Even though the hanging cables seem short it appears that helps the platform remain more stable when it is windy outside. In addition, the cable ends are not screwed into the wood where they can come unscrewed, but instead are laced through the wood for greater sturdiness.
