I have read bad reviews that say you can't adjust the beater angles and this may be true but I just needed to adjust the height of each beater for my yamaha kick trigger pad. The beaters come nowhere near hitting my shins or whatever and i like the action and feel of this pedal quite a bit. I've been playing drums for a long time but have used single pedals on 2 bass drums on my acoustic kits and i've never had a really high end double pedal. I do have a dw double pedal where you add your own right pedal to have double bass on 1 drum and I have to say I like this pdp pedal way way better, I mean Im using this on my electronic practice kit and my kick trigger is wide enough where this works ok, and when doing very fast single kick stuff, with the right foot only this thing works great for me too, i like it so far.

It's crap. Don't waste your time or your money. You can't adjust them and the heads will hit your shins....

I'm new to dbl pedal although at one time long ago, played a dbl bass setup. The single star reviews are correct in their criticism about the beater angles and hitting the shins. I've decided that for the price, I'll continue to learn using this pedal. As I age, I'm more supplementing with my left foot in lieu of truly "running" on both pedals. Construction seems okay and eventually these will become warmup or practice pedals when I upgrade. I did however replace the cheap plastic beaters with full felts--this has helped the rebounding because of the weight of the new beaters and also doesn't bother me as much hitting my shin now. Note, I moved from the DW5000 single to this and still think about moving back. But for what I play and the level I play at, these are fine.

Great pedal. Shipping was shotty. No manual manufacturer box just thrown i. There. Direct drive is different but has a good feel for an inexpensive pedal.

This is an awesome double pedal and the quality is very good.
