Birds love this blend, brings many to my feeders
blujean✓ Verified Purchase•October 12, 2017
The wild birds in this area of Alaska love this variety blend of bird seed. Great price for 16 lb. bag. Has made my place very popular with the local birds - including some gorgeous Stellar Jays. It surprised me that the birds devour this feed at an amazing rate. I'm looking forward to seeing some of them visiting my bird feeders during the winter months now that they know where to find quality seed. Already ordered another bag.
A hit with the local birds

This purchase has been a hit with the local birds (cardinals, chickadees, doves, and sparrows), whose addition has been good for the soul.
Alas, the chipmunks and squirrels also seem to like it.
As such, a countermeasure had to be added to the bird feeder (viz., Audubon Torpedo Steel Squirrel Baffle).
The rather large bag easily lasted me one year.
This was a good purchase.

Spoiled Birds

Okay, this needs to come in much larger bags as my birds outside are spoiled rotten with this seed. I must have at least 10 different species coming, and I think they are telling their friends, I have to order every week! I had to substitute one time as I didn't order soon enough and you could tell they weren't happy with the other food. They fight over this!!! Great product and I will keep purchasing!
Great for Backyard Bird Parties

The birds love it. I am a newbie to bird seed for wild birds, but I can report that this mixture is a huge hit with the birds in my area. We live in New York, in the suburbs just north of the City. Our backyard is now a very popular hangout for all kinds of birds. We enjoy watching them from the deck with binoculars, looking up species in our bird identifier book. So far we have identified several species of sparrow, red cardinal, cowbird, thrushes, doves, waxwings, jays, woodpeckers and others. Makes a nice backyard hobby.
Moth-free

This has been attracting a variety of birds to my back yard in Florida. Unlike many other brands, I've never had a problem with bugs in the seeds. We buy the large size, which lasts about a month. Recently, we picked up a different brand locally while we were out shopping, and in a few days, we began to have moths in the pantry where we store the seeds. Ideally, every container of bird seeds should be frozen for at least 24 hours to kill bugs and larvae. But this bag is too large for that. So we're going to keep ordering Wagner's.
