I used this to do my stone kitchen floor, did one half at first and then the second half so we still could use the kitchen. The first coat was applied with a brush, it looked good but had some streaks For. the second coat I used a pad (a Swiffer mop covered with a microfiber cloth} and it worked wonders, no streaks and very even. I am very impressed with this product.

I seldom write reviews, but I had to for this product. I have used several other wet look stone sealers on our natural blue stone front porch, but Black Diamond was the best hands down. The product was the perfect consistency, went on very easily with a foam roller, goes on a milky white so it is easy to see where the roller left off, and dried to a perfect and hard glossy wet look. On top of that, this material was much less expensive and if your stone has already been sealed, you will be able to cover more than the 10' x 15' indicated on the container. GREAT product!

Product looked great at first. But, two days after applying (post Cure time), we had a solid rain (approx. 1"). Some of the stones turned white and the white film didn't disappear until after the water dried. This has happened multiple times. Don't think I would use again unless someone could explain to me why this keeps happening.

Amazing! If you look at my profile you may notice that I write very few reviews because either a product performed as I expected it to or, if not, I I may have written a bad review. Well, this one is different! I applied it today to 17 year old exterior slate that had not been resealed for 7 years and it looks better than the original slate ever did! It is not shiny but is truly "enhanced" bringing out the original blue-gray color and looking fresh and new. I immediately ordered 2 more gallons to apply to some additional slate as well as some river rock. Highly recommended!

I needed a sealer for slate that would protect it from our harsh Wisconsin winters. I installed slate to our hydronically heated stoop several years ago - using what was supposedly 'frost proof' slate - and sealed with a product from Superior (penetrating matte sealer) which didn't alter its original appearance. Nonetheless, the slate listellos I used on the leading edge of the tread began to shale off and fail after year 3, undermining the structural support of several tiles. That resulted in bad things, which I then spent a couple of days repairing, and was determined to avoid in the future.

The first thing that was apparent to me is that the listellos which failed were a very light colored - almost vanilla - slate. It's clearly considerably softer than the darker version. I replaced the failed pieces with denser (darker) slate. After several days of grout curing, I was ready to apply Wet Look from Black Diamond.

I was concerned about a sealer overly darkening my tile and grout, but enough other reviews convinced me that wasn't going to happen. I used a large pored sponge for application. The sealer goes on a milky blue, which aids in coverage and prevention of puddling. The immediate effect on the grout was darkening it from a milk chocolate to a dark chocolate, and the slate itself losing its chalky appearance. As it dried, though, the grout returned to its original color, and the slate slightly lightened, giving me the best of both worlds. Both the grout and the tile itself now have a beautiful sheen!

A day after application, it rained. The leading edge of my stoop (the steps) got wet, and the water beaded like it would on a freshly waxed car. I think it looks absolutely fantastic; I could not be more happy with the outcome!

I cannot imagine a buyer finding a better combination of price and results.
