This does not fit the seat belt in my car, because the sides are too narrow. I had to cut them off to allow room for the plastic parts of the buckle to go through. Thankfully, this is thin plastic and easy to cut. I think it will work fine, but it is very cheaply made. It does not need to be great quality to do the job.

This worked great for our 2 preschoolers. They both started unbuckling their seatbelt every time that we would get into the car and would latch themselves onto our headrests. Apparently this is common with autistic kids - both of mine are currently being evaluated for SPD & Autism /Aspergers. Of course we tried to explain to the kids the dangers of not wearing our seat belt, we had them talk to some local policemen, we even stopped when driving past a particularly bad car accident so they could get an idea of what happens in an accident (of course it was just the wreckage, no people). None of this worked and it got to where we had to go everywhere alone. Either I would go or my husband would go and the kids would stay home. This worked great, its incredibly easy to set up and neither one of our kids has figured out how to take it off( and trust me - these guys have disassembled many a lock and gate) and it fit our car seat buckles in our Prius V where as another kind of buckle did not. We ordered the 2 pack. A real life saver!

I got this for my disabled nephews wheelchair belt buckle. It was more of the old fashioned car seat belts and very hard to find a guard for. He has no sense of danger and would release the buckle while he was being pushed. I was afraid he would get very hurt falling out of the chair, and this eases some of that worry. He is very young at only four, but I don't think it is really easy for it to be released except by the parent.

Either my 2 year old thought it was a game to unlock the seats or he is actually trying to kill his sister. Then I found these little gadgets! Now this device is not without flaw, it is made of pretty cheap material, consisting of thin molded plastic topped with a childproof lid. But it DOES WORK! While we all want a beautiful solid gold solution, the materials are good enough and get the job done. No longer will my children become crash test dummies, as the boy cannot Houdini his way out of a child proof lock while sitting locked into his car seat.

Great idea, plastic broke within seconds week of use. Try the rectangular shaped guards without the "pill bottle" cap.
