My husband has Parkinson's and the bad balance that comes with it. When he had to have surgery for kidney and bladder stones I used the pad to know when he would try to get up. Placed under the mattress cover and sheet where his shoulders are, I know when he sits up. He can't feel it. Touch the button or lay back down and it quits alarming. Gives me more restful sleep because I know when he try's to get up. One of my better buys.

This alarm has saved my life. My husband is in the advanced stages of Parkinson's Plus and just jumps up whenever after having fallen and breaking his hip. He is not able to walk on his own and this alarm saves me from having to constantly sit with him. I can now cook in the kitchen and do housecleaning without a fear of his falling again.
