Works like a charm once you learn how to use it
L NostrantMay 24, 2018
Best automatic needle threader! I have used it with small, size 11 needles and both 30 and 50 weight thread. I initially had trouble with it and thought it didn't work, so watched a YouTube video and discovered what I was doing wrong. After pushing the lever, a small loop appears to the side of the needle holder. If you don't know what to look for you could miss it. Pull the loop out and then remove the needle. This only works with oval eye (not round) needles, and you must use it on a steady, level surface and not jiggle it, so the lever mechanism can push the thread through the eye. Wonderful little gadget.
Good needle threader

Works well as a needle threader. There is absolutely no need to squint and try to introduce any part into the eye of a needle. This works entirely mechanically. I have tried it with very small needles and it works perfectly. Sometimes, the loop of thread that pops out is not very big so it helps to have a slightly longer nail to grab it and pull it out. Use it often when you first get it so you won't wonder later how it is supposed to work, particularly after you have thrown out/misplaced the instruction sheet. It is not complicated but it is different from a lot of needle threaders available on the market.
THIS IS THE NEEDLE THREADER YOU ARE LOOKING FOR

I am 61, have been near-sighted with astigmatism all my life, then after 40, got progressively more far-sighted too, and almost had to give up my favorite hobby, quilting. I like to hand quilt, but doing so properly requires teeny tiny needles with teeny tiny holes. I tried several kinds of needle threaders and "easy-thread" needles, and none of them worked very well---either broke easily or still required passing the thread between two very fine wires.

With this device, you just lay the thread on the device. drop the needle into it, and push a button. You then pull the needle out gently, and VOILA! It's threaded. I can literally thread over 10 needles in 60 sec!! I barely even have to look at it as I thread them, so can watch subtitled mumbly British dramas like Downton Abbey while I thread my needles. :)

Now I just need to find a device that will keep my cat from sitting on my fabric.... :/ :)

first purchased August 9, 2015 (what a game changer) having the assistance for getting my needles threaded when life just happens and you are starting to struggle hand threading them yourselves. Yes learning curb, and some types of needles need to fiddle with more then others especially if there is a defect in the needle and I need to change to a different needle in my pack that works just fine in getting threaded. Totally happy with the product. Still using my first purchase from 2015 still in great functioning condition, and started to think it would be a good idea to have a second one as a back up just in case this one finally eventually breaks or hopefully never the product is discontinued when my originally finally does break in the future.
Totally Bummed

This product was a big disappointment to me. I was looking forward to a needle threading solution that would help me in my beading projects. This item could not thread an #11 Tulip needle (bought from the same vendor) using .006 Wildfire thread inserted in the small funnel. The package states that this threader works on #1-11 needles.

The "pusher" piece could easily go through the #11 needle when I did not use thread. However, when I inserted the thread in the thread holder (after hearing the "click") and pushed the threading button...nothing happened. The needle was not threaded, the thread just sat in the channel.

After reviewing the accompanying written instructions and viewing two videos, I still could not get the threader to work properly. See video. I was so bummed that this product did not performed as described. However, I am getting a refund and will continue my search for a useful threader. Better luck next time.

Cheers,
