Lett me see, I bought it because of the size and shape. No that's not it. I bought it because of the color combo. No that's not either. I bought it because it has Bears name on it. No that's definitely not it. Oh I know I bought it because it works! And it works well because of the shape and design and because of that and that alone I would definitely recommend it to friends and enemies. Wait do I have any enemies? I hope not but they shouldn't freeze either so yes I would hope they buy it to. Oh they may hate me since I discovered the whistle. Maybe I should let stop trying to play music with it.

I don't really care whose name is on this fire striker. I bought it because I had a friend who had one and it worked great. Mine that I bought does too. I did have the strange desire to drink my own pee after using though which I found odd, but I was warm by the fire it created. I have about a dozen little strikers and ferro rods and strikers from different makers. This one works the best as a pair. I like the way it seals together to keep both safe and together. Plus it comes with little whistle which is handy if needed i guess. Most importantly it throws big solid sparks and will help you get a fire going. You can even pack it with a small amount of cotton or dry tinder to carry with you.

Grylls makes great products. I use a lot of his gear when backpacking and this is a definite must. I have been through a couple hundred strikes on this and there is still about 90% of the flint left. It packs away very nicely and is very easy to use. You can produce huge sparks on this if you align the striker and flint properly. The cord that holds the two pieces together does get in the way a little bit since it is fairly short but if you make slow methodical strikes, the cord doesn't get the way too much. If anything it helps make sure that you don't get the two pieces separated. I would definitely recommend this product over other on the market. I bought this for just over $10 over a year ago and have used it on camping trips about every month since then. I have barely put a dent in the life of this product and will expect to use it for the next 8-10 years before it runs out.

Very good fire starter gives off a lot of spark and works almost every time with almost no effort it is also a good brand and I was surprised to find out when I was looking at it as a hidden compartment to put fire materials in there it will fill the time but you can put more content or anything else I can light a fire just to have on hand. I haven't started the fire with you cuz I haven't been in this situation I needed to but I'm sure when the time comes it won't feel it all I have a feeling this project will last me a very long time and it will get used many times throughout my life I would definitely recommend it to others.

What a great product. Heavy duty flint and striker with a nice small storage compartment that can take one piece of tinder. This thing throws sparks like you would never believe. To try it, I took a dislocation ball, applied a small amount of vaseline and then rand the striker over the flint. Hey Presto a shower of sparks and the cotton ball erupted into flame. Slipped it into my burn pile of sticks and old wood and soon I had a roaring fire. This thing is heavy duty, fairly large for a, survival tool but well worth it. Last surprise was the survival and first aid paper that came with it. Great information in case of an emergency. Well worth the money and can definitely be a life line in case of an emergency. Buy with confidence this is awesome!
