WASTE OF MONEY, WASTE OF SEED!
VoronNY•February 1, 2018
Total waste of $3! Seeds spilled, design and release mechanism awkward. Feel foolish to have bought it. Save the money and make a scoop from a plastic bottle or coffee can.
Nice scoop but tab does not stay closed
Ardent•January 18, 2018
I love the shape and the plastic used for this scoop, but that is its downfall: the little tab that keeps the scoop closed as you fill it with seed is too slippery to stay closed. So you are constantly managing it as you try to refill the feeders. It's a shame but I'm going back to my broken square scoop made of textured plastic that doesn't have the same problem.
Super Scooper

I like using this for filling the bird feeders, however, I gave it 4 stars because you do have to hold the slider closed, if you don't and walk to the feeder with not holding on to it and bump something with the slider end (which I have done accidentally a few times), you have seed scattering everywhere. Also, if you fill it from a bucket all the way, and tip it upright, you can also spill seed, you can tell by the slanted spout. I still use it and have become aware of its limitations. It IS great for feeders where you can't use the scoop end (flat feeders) and need to use the funnel end for feeders with smaller openings.
Don't waste your money!

This thing makes me so mad. The lever to hold the seed in doesn't lock in place and I've spilled seed everywhere. I bought a Stokes bird feeder and I love it, so i decided to try this scoop from them. What a waste of money! I went back to using a measuring cup. Very poor product.
Great seed scope! Really one for the birds!

i love this scope! It makes filling bird feeders a breeze! It's plastic, but sturdy and even comes with a handy shut off valve so you don't overfill and make a mess. No more spilling seed all over the place, this handy scoop is a huge help! Would probably also be great for arts and crafts projects like putting colored sand into bottles and the like. Could even be decent for throwing rock salt during snow storms!
It's a handy, well made gadget that provides great value and this economical price. I've had other funnels before--for cooking, random household and car stuff--and this scoop feels a lot more well made than the average run of the mill funnel. If you are in the market for a seed scoop, and don't require metal, this lil' number is hard to beat! 5 stars!
