A great "starter airbrush" that you'll never stop using
Dan MMay 15, 2018
Worthy of it's reputation! Don't know why some say to start with a cheap no name airbrush to learn. We don't learn to drive in a broken down old clunker with old manual brakes and small dim taillights. Don't try to learn on a clunker airbrush either. This is an easy to use, maintain and clean unit that you won't toss in two or three months. It allows you to use it for small details or heavy paints or finishes, and I'd bet a significant sum you'll not ever put it too far away from your paint station. You may rely on a higher quality main brush, but you'll find many uses for this back up or "special projects" airbrush. It's great for teaching kids to apply their talent to a white plastic lined paper plate too!
Perfect for cerakote!
Rob MunchJanuary 8, 2018
I've only used it once, I've never used an airbrush prior to this and it was really easy to handle. I purposely tried to make the paint run on a piece of cardboard to see how My strokes need to be and you pretty much have to hold it on one spot to ruin something so I just went to town. Cerakoted a handguard, upper and lower receiver no problem.
BEST Equipment for a GREAT price!

A friend who does special effects artwork and Haunts year round recommended Paasche to me. My sister seconded the recommendation, doing make up for characters at the Renn Faire every year (especially fairies). I read tons of reviews on less expensive brands, and they all came with the price of being prone to clogging, and usually, demanding total replacement. THIS kit is PERFECT! I did need a little adapter for $2 from the hardware store to hook it up to my own big ol' air compressor, but I LOVE it! Has everything you need to begin! Easy to use. Great instructions! Take some time to get to know your tools before diving into your project, and you'll be amazed. This is so great and worth every penny! I strongly recommend this kit, and Paasche airbrush equipment all around!
I used Endura body paint. The picture is after 11 hours of wear. It was FLAWLESS all night but I was too busy to get a picture until I got home!
So far everything looks of high quality. A value ...

So far everything looks of high quality. A value (3B) is needed to use this airbrush with an air can. Its available directly from Paasche for less then $10 plus shipping. I was able to buy one at my local train store at the same price as Paasche and avoided shipping charges.
I would go with the HS version which has a sold handle, probably balances better. Only $1 or 2 difference in price. Sold handle cost around $10 more separately.
Great Airbrush But Misleading Ad - Pieces not included
SteveDecember 28, 2016
Great airbrush, especially for the money... HOWEVER... as other have said... the ad is misleading... it says you get "all 3 head sizes"... when you actually get only the #1 & #5 needles and air tips... and you get all 3 size paint tips... Where are my #3 needle and #3 air tip!!?. Also, the picture shows glass jars... and they cheapened the set yet again, by giving me plastic jars. I would have paid a few more dollars, for a full set.
