We've flown with this 2x now and we LOVE it! We took it to Anguilla full of wine and gin/tonics. After we arrived, we unzipped the insert liner and then we had a full cooler to use to take to the beach. It does leak, however, when you're use ice. Sometimes, it doesn't roll very well but we do like to travel with it.

Yes, it does fit 12 bottles HOWEVER you may need to flip some upside down to zip the top shut.
