We love these, because they are translucent, which allows you to see how much water is remaining in the cup, and the open hook allows you to remove to fill and reinstall while it is full of water. The closed hook require that you tip to install, requiring that you install, then fill with water. Makes it harder to quickly empty the dirty water and refill.

Works perfectly. Ants can't swim across the moat, therefore ants can't reach nectar so they leave. Keep moat refilled with water as it evaporates.

Works great. My hummingbird feeder was infested with ants. After I bought this NO MORE ANTS. Reservoir is no problem to add water to and hook for feeder is below. I was going to quit feeding hummingbirds if this didn't work ....... but it does 100%.

I just received these ant guards, and they arrived just in time. The weather has finally settled down, and beautiful little hummingbirds arrived about a week ago. No sooner did I hang up the feeders than they were covered with ants. Since I put these guards up, I have seen no ants at all! Great product!
