Kills Whiteflies living in S. W. Florida
Kindle Customer✓ Verified PurchaseFebruary 11, 2024
Whiteflies are hard to control and eliminate in S. W. Florida. This product works when spread on the grass and around plants where the flies lay their eggs. It takes a month or two to see results, but eventually, the flies disappear and the black smut of their eggs is gone. It's expensive, but less expensive then commercial methods charge.
Either granule or liquid.

Be Careful

I had to use this on my Aloe Cacti I brought home from the Outdoor Market that were selling plants and they had rolley polley all in the bottom of the container and where coming out and trying to go to my other plants. So I had to use this right away in the the summer heat to protect my other potted plants and it burned all the bottom leaves , so I am glad I waited before putting it in any of my other new nursery plants and will have to wait until it is cool outside before subjecting them to this hopefully they won't get any bugs until the cooler temps get here. So summer is a definate NO for using this product. Also it has food in it so there is no need to buy food too because it has it in it. But all the bugs are gone and I expect that this product will do what it is supposed to do but you will get some burning, if done right you plants should live and recover. I would give less than the recommended 6 mo dose and I would give it in Sep 15 and March 15 every year. It burned my plant for about two weeks before it quit burning and I would give it a good wash with water if you see it burning so it will get down into the planter or ground and the concentrate dissapates. It works it just a bummer to see your plants get burned from a needed product when they looked good before.
Update: It is October now and it is 90 degrees daytime and 60 at night now and I have had no trouble putting this on my Oleander what so ever or my Agave Cacti in small doses at a time. Because of the experience with my Aloe Cacti I have learned it is better to just divy up the portions that I would be giving them in September and in March and take those 2 doses and making it 1 and then dividing it by 6 months and that is what I am feeding the plant every month during the WINTER. That way when spring comes and the bugs hatch outside my plants will be fertilized from the Winter feedings and will stay away from them until it gets to hot for the bugs and I won't have to worry about burning them in the spring when the weather starts turning hot/cold. This way it is in the plants root system. It is just to hot where I live and no shade is cause for disaster. I did use this on a Boxwood and it does not like it at all. The leaves are not dark green anymore and are drying up so it works good on some plants and others it can be sensitive to. Now my Agave is not having any problems with it and it; babies are shooting out from the soil. But I am only giving tsp measurements every month because I don't want to risk burning my plants. As far any tree goes the label does say (not to use) it on a certain tree but I can't remember the name right now. But it definately is hit and miss with this product depending on the plant species lets see what happens after a winter of feeding and see it the bugs stay away in the spring that will be the real test come spring I will let you know then.
