I got this to check my super old thermostat. I never got around to hanging it, so it's just sitting up against the wall on a counter, but it does the job.

This is a great thermometer. We own two of them. I keep one inside our frog terrarium and find it very helpful. It displays the low temp and hi temp in the last 24 hours so I know if the frog is happy. The other we keep outside. They have lasted a couple of years so far.

This thing is pretty cool.. I actually got it to carry backpacking with me, so I could check the temp in my tent at night.. Well, due to some local issues, I did not get to go camping, but still, I am having fun around home with this thing.. I leave it laying at different areas of the home and check it later, to see how the temp at that location matches the temp set on my Thermostat!! So, it is a nice play toy!!! Can carry it hiking, camping, canoeing, backpacking, etc.. Should be able to check temp in my car as well.... I do not know who to give credit to, but I learned of this little toy while checking out backpacking on YouTube, I think.
