Small, mostly skinny, and definitely not useful for growing.

The claim is that one can plant these tubers, which is exactly what I bought them for. There are many tubers in 1 lb so it was very impressive that NOT ONE produced a single shoot. Indeed, they looked as though someone might have rubbed off any bits that were starting to develop (but maybe they had simply dried out before shipping). By contrast, other ginger tubers that I planted did fine.

After trying to find this locally, and not having any luck...I ordered these online. The roots were smaller then I was expecting. I guess that is how they come...It made a real mess trying to peel and grate them. Even with rubber gloves on, the pieces were pretty small and hard to hold on to. It turned anything it touched, bright yellow as much as I tried to be neat about it...I think I will just stick with the powder from now on. Lesson learned :-)

This was my second order from Amazon, but not from this provider. The turmeric root was shipped promptly, was fresh, and has lasted well with proper care. If I have a complaint, it's that this order contains many more tiny pieces than the first order from a different provider. These pieces are not spoiled, but are so small that they are hard to peel so some of them are really almost wasted. I realize that it's inevitable to get SOME small pieces, but I got MANY. They contribute to the total weight of the order, but also to some waste. I'll try a different provider next time.

I ORDER 2 POUNDS (32 OZ.)OF TURMERIC AND RECIEVED ONLY 7 OUNCES. THE TURMERIC WAS OK BUT THE AMOUNT WAS ONLY ABOUT 1/4 OF WHAT I PAID FOR. I RECOMMEND WHEN YOU BUY ANYTHING BY WEIGHT CHECK YOURSELF FOR THE WEIGHT WHEN YOU RECIEVE IT TO MAKE SURE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR.

Started making a brew of this with ginger root, piece of cinnamon and black pepper, its a really good anti inflammatory, and improves digestion, have also shared this with people at work, and then ran out of it, the aches and pains have returned
