Cheap cheap
JDRangerDecember 9, 2016
This knife was a disappointment. In a word I would simply describe it as "cheap".

The handle is hollow plastic and the blade is weak.

It's too small to be a practical dive knife and it's takes way too much effort to remove it from the sheath.

The price is low - this is one of those "you get what you pay for" products.
When this knife came out of the box it looked like it had been sharpened by a cave man

I have used this knife to dispatch a lot of fish. The tip bent in the skull of an amberjack, this makes sense as it has a rather slim profile. It came back to straight in the vice no problem.

When this knife came out of the box it looked like it had been sharpened by a cave man. I spent 45 minutes straightening out the edges. Probably making it a bit too sharp for the application.

As this is 400 series ss and not 316 ss the corrosion resistance is not ideal. It will rust if you don't rinse it after diving.... but who doesn't rinse their gear after diving?

The sheath is secure to say the least. I actually used a screwdriver to loosen the engagement clip.

The straps are marginal, I elected to purchase others when I got the knife expecting this.

I will eventually loose this knife, it's $20.00. No big deal there, but after putting in time to make it my own it's worth much more to me.
flimsy plastic strap connections

You get what you pay for! For the price it looks decent blade for Braining speared fish. the point is decent, but not as pointed as it appears in the picture. I had to return the first one I got because the tip was not pointy. The ground edge was a little off so at the tip it was rounded, but they immediately shipped second one that was pointier. That all being said itll get the job done. I gave it 3 stars because although the rubber straps connect with flimsy plastic connector clips. it broke right out of the box while trying to fit the rubber straps in it. ill just use one of my other knife straps for this blade. amazon customer return service is 2nd to none.
Sheath does not hold
EmilioAugust 8, 2015
I thought the knife sheaths was a bit awkward. The whole mechanism of tapping to the side to release seemed a bit loose when actively moving around in the water with spearguns, floating line, flashers, and all all sorts of tools. Sure thing first dive of the day I reach for the diver knife to brain a fish and it's gone.
Very good shard for braining fish

excellent for killing fish quickly. It is a bit difficult to unsheathe, however if you have it strapped on securely, simply put forward pressure using your fingers (see pic).
