This is my favorite keyboard because the keycaps are a bit larger and higher and have the nice dip in the middle for my fingers. I can't stand flat keycaps. It stays in place without sliding around the surface it's put on, and the back raises it to a comfortable angle. I type at over 100 wpm for about 10 hours per day, and this is the best keyboard I've found over the years. I bought two to make sure I have a backup because they're getting hard to find.
Leave "the right design alone;" and if it works, don't fix it!

Great product... liked first one so much I ordered another of same in just a few days.... no doubt my choice of keyboard layout and key action... I am from old school; now retired... lots of history in IT and corporate support of software and hardware for all kinds of equipment... this keyboard brings back fond memories of when "good" hardware was furnished with new PC's... I have many various types and styles of keyboards; all of them less satisfactory, in boxes for possible use "somewhere" (except one; a wireless Microsoft comfort 5000 KB)... my second choice after this Dell USB SK-3205 gem... but mostly, I do not like wireless keyboards for repairs, rebuilds, upgrades, etc. This Dell is a good find.... Amazon is always fast delivery too.
Best Build Quality of any Dell keyboard ever! Smart-Card Reader works on many platforms, can't beat the price!

FIVE STAR Product! Build Quality is far better than any other Dell keyboards. Nice weight, great key travel and feel. Even if you don't need the Smart-Card reader, it's still well worth the price just to get the higher quality. Smart-Card is perfectly located, does not require more space (foot print) to ued your Smart-Card. Comes with drivers, can download newer drivers and firmware update from Dell if needed. We use this model on Windows (all versions), Aplple Mac OS X (last 5 versions) and Linux, many distributions... No problems at all. You won't regreat buying this keyboard, I highly recommend it, you will be very satisfied with the quality and especially the price.
Best Dell Keyboard Have Ever Found

Love this keyboard. Love it that it's wired, so not going through all the batteries. The touch is great, and the spacing between keys also allows fast typing without a lot of mistakes to correct. I also like the added wrist bar that comes with the keyboard. I like that it's plastic and not some spongy material that will wear out over time. It's wide enough for my wrist position, but doesn't add too much extra room to prevent me seeing the whole keyboard when used in my pull out drawer under my desk. I'd definitely buy this one again.
good keyboard. not flat. has a sharp rise towards the farther end.

the keys are soft and silent. its easy to type. I use a dell keyboard at work and so I was particular about getting a dell keyboard at home as well. one aspect I did not like is the incline on the keyboard. towards the F1, F2... keys, the keyboard rises sharply up. I would have preferred a more flat keyboard. this was not clear in the pictures.
