This thing is tiny, I mean tiny tiny. The fan is literally ~ the same size as a 120mm case fan. It would work for people with a 4g hot spot router, or a mini router, but anything normal is not compatible with this piece of junk. Will be returning, thanks China.

I am torn on this product. It does keep my router very cool, but after a few days it is very loud when I turn it on. It does get quieter as the day goes on but it never gets completely soundless. Less annoying though.

this saves so much trouble constantly pulling the power plug and waiting a hour at a time for the modem to cool off enough

not sure where these people listing problems been getting them but suspect some people just expecting it to work like your deep freezer or a box fan for your windows

this is the First and only Modem Cooler I have seen, and a great price for it too, does the job at cooling off the modem now we do not have to worry about burning it out, we run 2 computers Ethernet, and 3 wireless devices on this modem so it does get hot. But with this Evercool unit we don't have to worry anymore it keeps the modem running very cool Thank you Evercool and Amazon !!!

I have 2 of these and have had them for over 6 months thus far. I have had absolutely no problems with them. 1 holds my Roku box, which gets fairly warm, even when not in use. The other has an external usb drive on it. Neither is noisy and they do a good job in keeping my devices cool. So, either some of you got bad devices or you expected them to run like a household fan. They are small device coolers and are not made to make devices COLD, just to cool them down and that is all you need. I like the fact that you can put your Roku box on either side and the warm air goes thu the other side and outward. I liked mine so much, I bought another for my Son, who is using his for an external Buffalo DriveStation. He loves his too and has had no problems. If you purchase this and have problems, return it right away. You may have just purchased one from a not so good batch. I LOVE MINE.

I also own the 2-sided magetized fan, which does a great job of sitting between 2 ext USB desktop drives and keeps them very cool. An alternative would be a 2-fan USB laptop cooler. It's cheaper than these other devices, but does the same thing.
