I've got other routers for serious jobs, but I find myself turning to this one the most because of its convenience. Good torque. Stops really fast when turned off - no waiting for spin-down. Decent work light. Nice arbor lock for changing bit. Relatively quiet motor. Good battery life. Decent base plate.

As a DIY'er I really like DeWalt tools and have alot of them but I also have Makita, Milwaukee, Porter Cable and others. I look for DeWalt first. I have a 1/2" Makita router and was doing a laminate countertop. Kind of like doing brain surgery with a sledge hammer.I bought this light and sturdy and compact router and it so impressed me. I was able to get this tool almost all the way to the wall which left just a tiny bit to hand trim. Has a great feel as you push it so was easy to keep flat. Has great micro adjustments and locks down the depth adjustments very securely. Love this tool though I won't use it much but when I need it I know it will not let me down. I would not build a house and route out window openings with it. I have big routers for that. This is a fine tool for finish work and would highly recommend.

Larger barrel than my corded Bosch so a bit harder to hold on to. Other than that it is awesome

Becoming my go to router for most of my small to medium jobs. Super convenient and easy to use. Love the fact that the bit stops turning immediately when turned off. Wish it came with the storage case.
