Awesome, Durable Stove
ZenDude•July 14, 2018
Had this for 4 years now. Im a full time RVer/Boondocker and this stove paid for itself in about a year in what I saved in propane. Heavy duty cast iron top will last for years. Even when i camp in the Arizona desert and other places where firewood is scarce I can always find wood to run this stove. I hesitated buying this because of the price but I have seen many homemade rocket stoves and they dont hold a candle to this, especially if you are camping and are mobile. Only advice is to set aside a few pots to use just for this or campfire cooking because you will end up with soot on your pots. Would purchase again without hesitation.

Great stove, used during power outage to cook several meals. We cooked several different items on the stove. I just sent the kids out to pick up sticks from around the house and fired up the stove. It produced a hot fire with just a handful of small twigs and some larger sticks. A great item to have for emergencies.
A MUST HAVE!

First things first...YOU CAN'T GO WRONG with this unit!!! I have cooked 5 or 6 full meals on this thing and it is amazing! I used dry grass, burrs, and small dry twigs to start my fire with the help of some kitchen matches. I have always struggled with fire starting but this stove makes it pretty easy! After i got the twigs going pretty good i used old broken down half decayed pallet wood and downed trees from around my area and combined with the Utopia Kitchen 10.5skillet/3.2q dutch oven combo you will be able to pretty much cook anything in the field or in the backyard! I purchased this as a way to cook while camping and have only tested it in the backyard but i will assuredly be putting this stove into my camping kit! This little stove lights quick, holds heat while there are coals in the bottom of the stove, but cools off in 20 mins to put back into the camper or house. It does stay cool to the touch on the back and sides but will get hot on the top and in the front where you load your fuel. The handles and lightweight of the unit make it easily moveable while there is still a fire in it...caution is greatly recommended but it is completely doable. A+++ and will recommend to any outdoorsy person!
