I am new to machine embroidery; I just got my first machine about 2 weeks ago (a Brother SE425). Since I was starting from scratch with everything, I decided to buy this collection of thread to get me started. I went to do my first design which required 7 colors, and every single color was in the collection. There are quite a few other designs I want to do, and I'm sure that I will be able to find whatever color I may need in the 2 convenient boxes that the threads came in.

Also, after I finished with my first design, I wanted to keep the bobbins with their matching color thread, so I put the two pieces (thread & bobbin) in a plastic zip-lock snack bag and was able to put them back in the boxes they had come in. Now I don't know if I'll be able to wind bobbins for all 63 colors and fit them back in the boxes with the threads, but so far they fit.

I would recommend this collection to anyone, newbies like me or long-time users.

I am new to machine embroidering with the Brother PE770 and I have not had a lick of problems with this thread at all. The colors are gorgeous and I have not had to substitute very many yet at all becuz of not having the actual numbered color in a pattern. My only very minor complaint is that most times, the number sticker is directly over the top of the spool so that I must remove it in order to get it on the machine and then there is no room left to put it elsewhere so I am left trying to write the number on the inside of the plastic spool with a marker. I know that will wear off in time and I wish there was a better way for them to mark the color number on the spools. That being said, its minor and the threads work well and are a beautiful assortment.

This thread was a great purchase when buying my embroidery machine. The colors and quality of the thread are beautiful. The one negative to this set though is that there are incredibly too many shades of purple and green, and not enough shades of red and orange. I have had to purchase a couple of red and orange threads in addition to this. Otherwise, it really comes with every color you could need, and then some purple and green. I still haven't used over half of the purple threads....

I used to get as frustrated as you do because this thread is so thin and slippery that would tangle everytime I switched colors until I read the manual of my Brother machine: USE THE NET THAT COMES WITH YOUR MACHINE. (see pic) It is used specially with any thread that winds of quickly. If your machine did not come with it, you can purchase one in Amazon. IT WORKS! :)

I purchased this embroidery thread to use with my Brither SE-400 sewing and rmbroidery machine. I was pleasantly surprised to find when it arrived that the assortment of thread contained every one of the threads listed in my quick start manual for the present embroidery patterns that come programmed in the machine. No trying to match the pattern colors to other brand thread. The threads for the patterns are all included in this assortment along with two others. This made my day and i sat right down and made one of the preset patterns using the thread colors given. The pattern turned out beautifully. The best part is i dont have to try to match any of thread for the patterns with brands of threads other than brother. I now have every color i need. Plus it was a great price!
