Had this product for about 2 weeks. Turned it on today and after 5 minutes it started to melt the control panel. It was smoking and smells like melted plastic now. Thankful I noticed and unplugged it before a fire started!

This was my first review. Only had it for a week. This is exactly what I need to help me manage my chronic back pain.
However, the hand control does get really really hot. So I'm not too sure how long it will last before it either malfunctions or burns my house down.
My updated review. Not yet had it for two weeks. Turned it on, went to lay on my bed then "zap". The hand controller burnt out. Burnt my bed cover. Triggered my safety switches around the house.
So glad I wasn't holding the controller at the time. Don't buy this product. It's not safe. Cheap and nasty!!!

I love this Sunbeam Heating Pad. My lower back often gets inflamed from day-to-day activities, sometimes just sitting in my chair to long will cause my back to act up and get inflamed. When it does, I take some Advil and use this heating pad. I have had this heating pad for 2 months and it has quit working and flashing an F on the control. I have tried unplugging and plugging back in on the wall and the heating pad, still doesn't work. What a disappointment when you spend more money for what is supposed to be a good brand and it turns out to be a waste of money so no at this time I would not recommend this product.
Control mechanism melted while in my couch - very scary.
