Nice flour of my childhood and Grandmother's biscuits
jojo2011✓ Verified Purchase•April 28, 2017
Nice flour of my childhood and Grandmother's biscuits. I have used this 50 50 with white all purpose flour to make crusts for piroshkis and the result was some of the best crust I have ever made, tender yet strong enough to stand up to being stuffed with a meat filling and not crumble in your hand as you are eating them. I will continue to keep this flour in my pantry.

Love this flour for making baking powder biscuits. It was the missing ingredient for light and fluffy biscuits. Living in a norther state this flour can be hard to find.

I have lived in the South over 50 yrs and had never heard of this brand of flour and one day in reading a recipe it specified the qualities of White Lily flour. I had to order it to see if if offered all the qualities I had read and lo, it does! My biscuits are much lighter and the flavor , texture more acceptable and I love this over what I had been used to and will certainly use this brand from now on!
Wow!

You would not think that the flour could make that much of a difference. But when I read that the recipe for the Red Velvet cake I was making called for White Lily, I started calling around (I live in WA state) and could not find it. Our Williams Sonoma used to carry it, but did not any more. So I had to order it here online. The cake was offensive phenomenal and I was told that it rivaled cakes found in southern restaurants. I'm keeping this in my pantry!

My Granny always told me that this was not just the best but the 'only' flour brand that she used. She swore by it. Thanks for keeping this product consistently good and being a part of my family for three generations thus far.
