Works well but is noisy
carolApril 23, 2017
Assembly directions were a little unclear and so it took us a bit longer to assemble than we had hoped. Once we got it togeher we found it made a horrible noise whenever the wheels were turning. We traced the noise to the back wheel that was connected to the brake. We tinkered with the brake to see if we could fix it. The only thing that sort've worked was putting a rubber band around the brake handle and handlebar. This applied a little pressure on the brake but not so much as to make it difficult to use. If we weren't in dire need, we would have returned this for a different model.
Nice product; tough to get together.

Product is well built, but the instructions for putting it together desperately needs to be rewritten with pictures that you can see and understand.
I had to call the company for help due to the poor instructions. There was also a huge defect in the final step of connecting the handle to the bike in that the hole to receive the bolt was NOT drilled in the center as needed. It was off set, off center, which we finally got to catch, but was a hassle. I did report this defect and difficulty to the mfr.
THIS SCOOTER HAS BEEN A LIFESAVER! DON'T THINK TWICE! NOT SURE WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT IT!
Kristin HoslerMarch 15, 2017
This scooter has been a lifesaver for me after breaking my fibula in February 2017. I am non-weightbearing on my leg for 8-12 weeks. This scooter helps me get around the house and it fits into the bathroom. I have even put half of it into the shower in order to reach my bench. Now that I have been venturing out more, I have had opportunities to use it outdoors. It is been great. The brake is very helpful outside when going down small inclines. When I climb up stairs (backwards on my behind) it is very difficult to pull myself up into a standing position. The scooter has helped so much because the seat is low enough for me to put my hands on and push myself up and then rest my knee on (as long as the brake is locked). I am also able to get in and out of my house on my own. There are two steps to maneuver. I can use the scooter by placing it on a step and locking the brake and then stepping down. I had one small issue with the scooter. I put it together myself, so the directions were easy to follow. My problem was that the turning radius of the handles was very small. I wasn't sure if this was normal or not. I tried looking up I for, vid o and pictures to see if the device should turn more. I couldn't find anything. Luckily my husband who is very handy figure out that the handle should turn left and right about 45% from the center starting point. This made a huge difference. I'm not quite sure how he got it to turn, but it seemed something was stuck. I saw other reviews about the small turning radius and I wonder if some people had the same problem and thought that was how it was made. Better direction about the steering or at least a photo of the scooter with the handle turned all the way would be very helpful! I highly recommend this item. The price was great and it is so much easier, safer and more comfortable than the walker and crutches.
Good for smooth flat surfaces

I purchased in hopes of being able to move easily about after serious ankle surgery. I'm a tall and heavy individual and someone lighter with lower center of gravity might get a much better use of this scooter. I found unless the surface is smooth, it can be somewhat dangerous. You do have to watch your path. I discovered the parking brake feature does not work and the adjustment suggested by the seller requires metric wrenches (unable to get to my wrenches at the current time.) I do like the basket and have used it around the house as you do need both hands on the steering handle when using.
No Regrets

We needed this for my 12 year old that had a leg fracture, not weight bearing for 5 weeks. She has been using it for a week so far. Here are some of our observations.

1. It's heavy and solid. Good for stability and safety. Not so good if you have to lug it around by yourself injured.

2. The turning radius is not fantastic, but it helps eliminate tipping over. I think it's adequate for the products intentions.

3. The break works well.

4. Knee pad is comfortable, and long enough for any length of leg.

5. It's a little bulky to throw into the trunk of a car. I have to adjust the handle bars to have it fit.

6. Wheels are adequate for most smooth terrains.

Overall I had no experience with these types of scooters and the medical place wanted $50 a week for renting one. This option saved us half.
