I was at College in the handicap parking and I saw another handicap person with this Rollater. She took it out of her car and it was so small! I had never seen one like it! I asked her if I could examine it, fold it, sit on it and push it. I absolutely loved it. Meanwhile I had my big bulky walker that I still had to fold up, haul into the entire of my back seat, getting my seats dirty from the wheels. I knew I wanted this walker! I just got mine in the mail, and I am so excited to go to school and drive with this in the car! I love how this folds up for the car, and it is so lightweight. I have been using heavy walkers for a long time now, and I have had it!!! They hurt my back just putting a big walker in the car. A big walker takes up my entire backseat, or trunk if I can get it in there. It gets dirt all over my seats and windows, and sides of the car. I just got a new car, and I want it to stay looking nice. This Rollater is going to be great! Also, now I can fold this sideways while I am in class, and not take up so much room in the class room which can be embarrassing sometimes. I love the price on this too!
We Tried Three Portable Walkers and This One is the Best
Hugh Pickens✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 31, 2016
In the past year my wife has developed arthritis and has limited mobility. We have a Hugo Portable Rollator Walker with Seat, Backrest and 8 Inch Wheels, Blue that she uses at home and we are very satisfied with it.

However we go to NYC every January to visit art galleries, see shows, and enjoy the city and the Hugo is not portable. We needed a portable fold-up walker that could meet the following criteria:

1. Easy to check to bring with us on an airplane

2. Easy to fold up so it will fit in the back of a cab with a minimum of hassle

3. Folds up small enough that we can take it to our seat in a theater and put it between our legs so we do not have to check it.

4. Over all comfort, safety, robust construction, and ease of use

It is very hard to tell how a walker is going to perform just by reading the specs on Amazon so we decided to go ahead and order three of the top rated walkers on amazon and try them out ourselves. Here are our results:

----------------------------------------------

Able Life Space Saver Lightweight Folding Travel Walker with 6 Inch Wheels + Bariatric Frame Supports 400 Pounds Black Walnut which Amazon users rated 5.5 stars and costs $89.90

Pros: Very easy to fold up. Will fit between our legs when we go to the theater.

Cons: Only two wheels - has pads on the back two legs. Wheels do not swivel although swivel wheels are sold separately. No brakes. Cannot sit down on it. Not comfortable to use. Small 6" front wheels. Does not come with a travel bag.

Overall Rating: Not suitable for our use. Lack of swivel wheels, pads on back legs, and no brakes make this a poor choice.

----------------------------------------------

HealthSmart Euro Style Rollator Walker, Compact Folding Walker, Lightweight Aluminum Walker, Purple which Amazon users rated 5 stars with 326 ratings and costs $131.28

Pros: Easy to fold up. Will fit between our legs when we go to the theater. Heavy Duty, Has four wheels. Has brakes, Can sit down on it. Very comfortable to use. Front wheels swivel making it easy to maneuver. Includes storage tote. Includes cane holder. Large 8 inch front wheels.

Cons: Does not come with a travel bag.

Overall Rating: This unit is by far the best of the three, although the most expensive

----------------------------------------------

Drive Medical Deluxe Portable Folding Travel Walker with 5" Wheels and Fold up Legs, Red which Amazon users rated 5 stars with 79 customer ratings and costs $43.88

Pros: Comes with travel bag

Cons: Very difficult and involved to put together. No swivel wheels. Cannot sit down on it. No Brakes. No travel tote. No cane holder. Small 5" front wheels.

Overall Rating: Not suitable for our use. Lack of swivel wheels, no brakes, and extreme difficulty in assembling and disassembling make this a poor choice.

----------------------------------------------

The clear winner of the three is the Healthsmart Walker. I would rate it five stars and rate the other two at two or three stars at best. In fact my wife says that the Healthsmart walker is almost as comfortable to use as the Hugo that she usually uses at home.
LOVE the color, don't feel old using it!

Received this the end of April 2016. LOVE the color. The purple is not as purple as shown in the picture (I've attached a picture to show the color). I think it is nicer than pictured!

So far the weight restriction of up to 300 lbs appears to be accurate. The reason 5 stars not given is it is not wide enough for me. With a weight as high as listed I would think it would be a bit wider, but it is satisfactory. My hips touch the sides when I sit. However, it is not too uncomfortable for my fibromyalgia. It's not meant for long term sitting. Just to rest when I need a break and there are no chairs around. The wheels seem to absorb the bumps on the ground nicely so I don't feel jarred when I hit one. It is much lighter than my prior rollator. If you need it to be compact for travel, the wheels will fold up as shown in the pictures. It is pretty compact. It comes in the shipping box that way. Easy to set up. Just unscrew the "star" knobs, straighten out legs and screw "star" knobs back in. You can also, just fold the chair without collapsing the wheels which I will do to put in the back of my SUV. I believe it is thin enough that when it is collapsed in the standing position it would fit behind a sit in a regular car.

I don't feel "old" when I use this rollator. The bright color and the Euro shape do not look like the standard walker/rollators which helps not feel as self- conscious about using it. I also think the built in cane holder will come in handy. It has a little cup, near the arch of the wheels, on the left side to hold the bottom of the cane and a velcro strap to hold it in place.

So far, I'm very happy with this rollator and would recommend to anyone.
Ace Hardware $4 fix!
Judy ShieldsFebruary 28, 2016
We got crutch tips to put on the end of the rod where the basket slipped off and it fixed that issue. We intended to replace the star shaped bolts used to fold the legs up but it only took 4-5 twists to remove the bolt so it is no longer an issue!
Out cup holder (Amazon....we put this one on everything we own!!) is Duro Med universal and was easily secured by throwing away the bracket included and attaching directly replacing the top screw bolt just below the handle and capping off the end smoothly.
