Will destroy your AC if you are wired for 2200 model
Adam J. Browne•February 19, 2017
I wish they would have made it more clear that there are two versions of this that look identical. And if you plug in the wrong one it will totally destroy your AC unit. Apparently my house was built with the 2200 model and the one that shipped to me was the 2000 model. All I needed with a new thermostat (2200 model) and now because of this my wife hates me and I have to pay a AC repair man to fix it.
Don't make the same mistake I did the pin outs are DIFFERENT but the bases both fit each other. I don't know why they did not completely change the bases so that it wouldn't be possible to damage your AC unit.

I have a total of 5 of these. Excellent thermostat and a great price from seller. My original two I bought were for 150 each several years ago. Glad price went down.
Works perfect, easy to use

Works perfect, easy to use. Remember to set the temperature differential to your liking. It gives you the options for .5, 1, and 2 degrees of variation for when the A/C kicks on. I like it at 1 degree. 2 degree variation made it too hot inbetween.
Good value, simple and durable

I bought this thermostat to replace an older one of the same model. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Adaptive Recovery Mode is optional on this newer version (default is "off"). Since I use a time-of-use utility plan, it is important that I am able to select exactly when the unit will be running. With the adaptive recovery feature, the thermostat will anticipate how long it takes to reach a set point and start to heat or cool in advance to reach that point. This thermostat is very simple to program; it allows four time points during a 24 hour period. There are separate programs for M-F and Sat/Sun. A set point can be over-ridden temporarily by holding the up or down arrow to select a new temp. It will go back to the programmed set point at the next time period.
I really like the light button

I really like the light button, my old one didn't have a light so I am very happy with it. Also saves money by changing the temperature for the time of electricity rate.
