I bought this to mount in a Kreg bench top router table. It is outstanding!! Plenty of power. Extremely easy to set up and the adjustments are really precise. I used it first off to make some glass panel cabinet doors that I have previously been making on my shaper. I found this to easier to set up and my results were much better than with the shaper. I had less tear out and I was able to more precisely match the the rails and stiles because of the fine adjustments and the locking mechanism on this router although I did have to feed the stock slower than with the shaper. I'm really satisfied!!
I'd like to update my review after using this router for almost a year. This router combined with the Kreg bench top router table has worked out so well for me I sold my 1 1/2 hp Shaper last summer!! This is so much easier and convenient to set up as opposed to the shaper. I get much better results especially when using my cabinet door bits. Unless you are a cabinet shop needing to dedicate a shaper to specific door making applications, this is by far the better way to go. Also, router bits are half the price of shaper cutters.

I've had this for about a year now and it is going strong. I have it mounted in a table and the only thing I dislike is the recommendation to remove the plunge spring, because I find it introduces a lot of slop and imprecision in fine adjustments. It is also a fair bit more quiet than the old Bosch 1614 EVS that it replaces.

Great product. I bought this router to make some raised panel doors for my kitchen cabinets and it works great. I had to upgrade from a 2 1/4 HP because it didn't have enough power and wow what a difference. This Triton 3 1/4 HP never missed a beat and the automatic lock makes easier to change the bits from the top. It also comes with an above the table crank handle for raising and lowering the cutter bit. I had to drill some extra holes in my Bosch router table to mount it but I got it to fit perfect and it works great. I would definitely recommend this router

I burned up my Craftsman 1 1/2 hp router table mounted making cabinet doors. Mostly the big panel bits in Oak on the end grain it was too much for it. But this router has power to spare. Like night and day. PLUS it is super quiet in comparison. I am thoroughly impressed so far. They did the homework needed to make a solid machine.

Initially I gave one star to this product because I had a problem with unlocking the switch window, I thought it was defective. After playing with it trying different things in frustration, I discovered that the switch window stays locked when the router is in it's lowest position. When I lifted it to a higher position I discovered that the window can slide to uncover the switch. I did not find this information anywhere in the instruction manual, but it should be there. Other than that I love the product.
