The very best pole mounting set I've found - at any price

If you have a platform bird feeder that weighs more than a pound or two, you know that a very sturdy mounting pole is a must. I tried a couple before finding this one. The others (one by Audubon) were a complete waste of money. This one is nearly perfect. The screw-in base pole is what makes such a huge difference. It's long enough that it will most likely never allow a feeder to topple over most any soil type. The other difference that makes it all work is that all of the pole pieces fit nice and snug with one another. That includes, most importantly, the bracket that will be attached to your feeder. Other pole sets were so loose and sloppy in their fittings with their brackets that the feeder would just wobble all over the place. The only thing I would change, possibly, is to include a machine screw in each of the pole pieces that could be tightened to prevent the feeder from turning on the pole. Otherwise, this is the mounting system you want.
Easy to install, looks good. Not cheap but worth it.

Easy to install. I screwed it in the ground with a large screwdriver. Twice actually, didn't like where I put it the first time. I hesitated at the price but the reviews were so good I bought it anyway. I am glad I did. You get what you pay for. This is a solid pole for a decent feeding station. I have three feeders on it.

This pole is very well made and heavy. Best I have ever seen. The auger portion is almost 2 feet long to really go deep into the ground. Use a long screw driver for leverage in turning. There is a hole provided for that. The pieces fit together easily. The one inch diameter is perfect for the Brome feeder attachment.
Very solidly built. I'd buy this again.

Excellent anchor system. The Brome Squirrel Buster Plus pole adapter fits perfectly on this diameter pole with no slop, and even though it's a heavy feeder, it is rock steady. Be sure to use a level when twisting the anchor into the ground, because once it's firmly planted you can't nudge it level if it isn't to begin with.
