Good nail clippers but not so good folding mechanism or key ring

When I ordered this nail clipper designed for use on a keychain while keeping a minimalist profile, I got really excited. My traditional nail clipper keychain broke and this seemed so cool that I'd give it a try. The nail clipper itself is good. I feel that due to its slim form factor a less robust mechanism was used for holding the clippers together when not in use. When I first opened the package I immediately tried to open them. The little lever on the side wouldn't move. I had to find out how they are actually supposed to work from a video because I thought I was doing something wrong. After a lot of force I was able to budge the little lever and the clippers opened up. I tested it and the clippers worked great. I sprayed some lubricant in the spring mechanism and dried it with an air hose and I was happy because the mechanism worked better. The mechanism has been progressively getting worse and is open 80% of the time when I pick up my keys. It's not a huge deal because even open, the clippers aren't huge. After a few weeks of ownership, the metal part that connects the clippers to the key ring broke off and now I just have nail clippers that don't really close. Possibly a little larger design is needed so more robust mechanisms can be used. I'd pay more for that. I love the nail clippers though
Slim design, sharp cutter stays sharp and does not dull due to catching coins, or other items in my pocket.

Second time to order one of these clippers. Love them. I store these in my pocket, and they are subject to keys, pocket knife, coins, screws washers or whatever I put in my pocket. Other clippers get dull and tend to be open and catch pennies or other coins, thereby dulling them. These do not, I love them.
Love the low profile, Keychain connection was weak.

These are great clippers, I really like the low profile and use to keep them on my Keychain to use whenever a having nail would pop up. The clip holding onto the Keychain loop popped off and I lost it so now they just live in my work bag. If they made the Keychain piece more permanent I'd be raising this 5 stars. However I can understand some people may want to easily removed the loop and just use them as is. See photos, there is a swinging latch that clamps in on two holes on the side and that's where it popped off.
Sharp with slim and compact design

I really like these clippers. They have a very slim and compact design which I find so much more appealing than typical nail clippers, and they are sharp. At first glance, you might not realize exactly what they are, and that's pretty much what I was going for. I mean, come on, how many guys do you know of that always walk around with nail clippers on them? Exactly. But these are much cooler and make me feel like I'm carrying a utility tool. Like something that'll be useful if I get lost in the woods or find myself in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Ok, so I realized that I really don't need to carry these around in my pocket everyday so I stopped after the first few weeks. Good thing , too, because a few weeks after I started leaving them in my backpack, I have lost the keyring. No big deal though, I just keep them in the waterproof case they came in, along with any other small compact things I take when I travel. I like how sharp they are, but I'd have liked to have a slightly more contoured cutting edge, as these kind of cut straight across. Also, they do occasionally pop open, mostly just if I drop them, but that is less than ideal if you insist on keeping them in your pocket or if you tend to habitually drop your keys on the table/sofa, etc. Not a deal breaker for me, though.
Don't buy till they fix some issues

Very neat idea, but part that ataches to the keychain is garbage. the wire that the key ring attaches to poorly made. It keeps falling off the nail clippers. When you take it out of your pocket, the clippers fall off.
