I have been using this pillow for over a month and I love it. Since I am a side sleeper I have a regular pillow underneath as lift and cushion for my shoulder. This pillow doesn't get hot and it is easy to form. Some people complained about it being noisy, and it does sound a little 'crunchy' when smooshing it around but I don't find that it wakes me up in the middle of the night or keep me awake when I'm trying to fall asleep. Overall a very nice pillow.

Bought one on these for my mom twenty years ago & she loved it. Bought another this past year & she couldn't even. She gave it back to me. Keep in mind that she slept for years with a towel under her neck.
I'm not sure if it was the pillow or her just not being used to it and being unable to readapt to it. So here is my opinion. This thing is heavy. And hefty. I'd say it is uncomfortable although when you move the buckwheat to where you want it, mostly it stays.

Years ago, I was waking up with a stiff neck night after night. I tried several pillows and eventually found a buckwheat pillow - I loved it. Well, after many years it needed to be replaced. I found this one with good reviews on Amazon. Last night was my first night one it and I LOVE it. I did order today extra fill as this is just a tad less filled than I would prefer.
The noisiness some people experience is really minimal. Once you settle down for the night, it doesn't shift as the buckwheat hulls are not round. They conform to your head and that's it.

I had one of these, a few years ago. The older smaller version. Loved it, but eventually wore out and all the the buckwheat spilled out and made a mess. My wife tossed it out to the trash and bought me a memory foam thing from Costco. It was OK, but I missed my buckwheat pillow.
I was so happy to find this pillow on Amazon, and even larger pillow than they used to be! Yes, it smelled funky, when knew. All pillows smell funky when new....get over it. I love this pillow and with my Philip Stein Sleep Bracelet, I am set.

love this pillow but a bit big but that is okay...sleep well now and even stopped my snoring by having the pillow place my neck upward instead of shifting downward....I sleep like a baby now...the noise as some people have mentioned doesn't bother me...it is a soft sound that lulls you to sleep each time that you move...not very much shifting once I started sleeping with this pillow. Love it! Gotta buy
