I just received and installed the Thermostat. This is going into a Rental Apartment, so I was glad to read it was easy to use

Pros:

1) The unit really looks professional. The screen is large and it has a very expensive look to it
2) It shows battery level. Anybody that has a battery operated thermostat knows how big an issue this can be
3) Very straight forward to program
4) liked that when you override the heat setting, it shows when is the next time it will go back on schedule.... and you can easily change that

Cons:

1) The biggest problem I am having is that the display is very dim. To turn on the back light, the instructions say to touch the heat up or down button, but the reality is that you can tap any button to turn on the screen. The problem with this is that when you tap those buttons, it doesn't only light the screen, but it does whatever that button is suppose to do. For example, tapping the MENU button on the lower left when the unit is in sleep mode, brings up the menu when the back light goes on. I can see that this is going to cause confusion for my tenants. It would be much more preferable if the first tap just turned the back light on so the user can then see what they are doing. Then the second tap does the button function. This is just a software fix so I hope they address this in the future

2) The unit needs to be removed from the back plate to change the battery. I know this is going to be a real pain to do every year

3) The instructions say, "Detach the new thermostat's wallplate from the rest of the Thermostat..." I wish they provided a picture. I was prying half the unit apart before seeing the proper way to do this

4) When installing, you need a very small flat head screwdriver to connect the wires. Luckily, I had one. But make sure you have one before starting
Great Product.

Very Good Product. I ordered these for a nursing home. Unfortunately, Due to cost, I can only replace 2 per month, but It has really helped to keep the temperature in the building constant. I mainly bought this for the digital keypad coding feature available. It has worked well and I have had no issues with product at all. Great product.

Easy to install. Accurate to the best of my knowledge. Love that the display lights up. You have to touch it either twice or rather hard to make that happen. (I have not figured that part out yet). My face plate that has interchangeable colors did not fit but I'm just using the product without it. It looks fine.
Little difficult at first but gets better.

My 85yr old dad was constantly raising and lowering the temperature. The system couldn't handle it. Caused many problems.s. Had to upgrade to the Code thermostat. All is well with the world again.
