Size is good ( small), tone and volume are also good for my use.

I probably should have returned the unit as it skips. I use it at night for audio cd's to put me to sleep. When it skips I can usually know the word it shipped. I didn't want to bother returning it. I usually fall asleep soon enough to that it doesn't really other me. I like that the unit is small enough for my bedside cabinet.
Good little box

Bought this for my mom, who can't be bothered to learn how to use iPods. She has a bunch of MP3 CDs. She puts 'em in, and they play.
Is it reliable? Will it last more than a few years? I don't know. But the fact that she unpacked it, plugged it in, and operated it without asking me a single question is promising.
It's small and fits well on her kitchen counter.
The audio is clear, but not amazing, but for her needs, it is perfect.
I will deduct a star for the following:
- the antenna does not move sideways, just up and down.
- the operation switch to choose between CD/radio is hard to reach and hard to move.
- somewhat weird digital display - if you read the manual, you understand, but it's not obvious.
- if you open the tray while a CD is spinning, it seems like some "more expensive" boxes would apply a frictional padding of some sort to slow the disc down and prevent damage. This does not happen here - the disc spins fast and is somewhat wobbly so you worry about damage. Of course, why would you open it while playing, right?
It's a good product.

I use this unit to listen to audio books. It doesn't have boombox sound quality, but is totally adequate for this purpose.
A feature necessary for listening to books is a PAUSE feature that allows the unit to stay on PAUSE until you hit play. This could be all day or all night if it lives in the bathroom as mine does. This is one of the few units I've tried that holds PAUSE indefinitely without either burning out or automatically canceling PAUSE.
It now has either seek or fast forward/backward so a CD can be put into this unit from a fanny-pack unit or auto unit and the correct track can be easily located where you left off.
I intend to purchase a second NAXA unit to use in the workout room.

Not the best reception for FM radio, but it's good enough for a boombox w/o all the new technology! This was a gift for my mom and she does not need all of the new tech stuff, she just needs FM and CD player.
