Worth the cost

I like this NAXA boombox. Good sound, looks nice, easy to use. It doesn't get the best radio reception but I live in the woods so that definitely has something to do with the problem. I deducted a star because it was damaged when I received it. Nothing major, but one of the metal speaker screens has a huge dent in it. I didn't notice it right away...but when I moved it near a light, the damage was very obvious. It doesn't affect the sound or anything....just the look of the unit. It was too big a pain to send it back...but it makes me very unhappy getting a product that is damaged.
Inexpensive, but has its problems

The CD/MP3 component left something to be desired ... 'pops' and skips on a disc that plays clean on computer and another 'boom box' without detachable speakers. There is little on the radio AM/FM bands that I am interested in hearing, so cannot comment on reception. The saving grace (for me) is that the USB plays just fine .... and a flash drive holds SOoooo much more than an audio CD or MP3 CD... and I can tailor my play list much easier than any commercial offering. I am satisfied with my purchase due to the purchase price and what I wanted to use it for, in the first place.
Disappointing FM reception

I'm returning this item. The sound quality is OK for a cheap piece of gear, and the CD player works, but the FM reception is hopelessly bad. I'll go upscale and get a better unit -- but this one is not worth keeping.
This product is not good. It could be good in someways but myself ...

This product is not good .
It could be good in someways but myself i bought it to think that is electronically power suppliers but turn out i have to but batteries everytime to get it working.
The worst part is that this company of this product did not provide all information that we need to loook on the internet to know what kind of features the radio has before we purchase it.
I just find out inside the backage when i got it. If i knew that i will have to keep buying batteries for it i shouldn't buy it, and to return it is an option for me to do.
So for me i cannot recommend it to anyone if like like what i like ,Don't buy it!

A piece of total crap. The CD player spins long enough to display the number of selections on the disc, then shuts down. The "instructions" are two pages of rudimentary gibberish, phasing into two more pages of, I assume, gibberish, in Spanish.
Edited. The micro instructions eventually lead one to cause sounds to emanate from this device. "push CD/skip seaarch/forward/backwardbutton repeatedly" then press USB button to start play."
"USB button ?" Jesus. There's no USB device attached to the unit. But that's what it takes to get noises out of this device. What kind of idiot designed this sequence? What's wrong with "PLAY?" ( Haven't figured out "stop" yet.) More to the point, what kind of idiot wrote the instructions ?
